I didn't know that one off the top of my head.

However, the Fox's address in the comic FoxTrot is 1254 North Elm Street, Hillsdale, USA. I know that one by heart. :p

You have to love the people at snpp.com:

What is the Simpsons' home address?

    That depends.

In Blood Feud 94 Evergreen Terrace, Springfield, USA
In Mr Lisa Goes to Washington 59 Evergreen Terrace, Springfield, TA
In Bart the Lover 94 Evergreen Terrace, Springfield, USA
In Kamp Krusty 430 Spalding Way, Springfield, USA
In New Kid on the Block 1094 Evergreen Terrace
In Marge In Chains 742 Evergreen Terrace, Springfield
In Homer the Vigilante 723 Evergreen Terrace
In Bart vs. Australia 742 Evergreen Terrace
In the Oprah Winfrey Interview 742 Evergreen Terrace

The most probable assumption is 742 Evergreen Terrace, the only address currently being used.

    Source.

    Amazing.

    Kentucky. That's what I've heard.

Well the narrator does call them a North-Kentuckian family in the Behind The Laughter episode.

    I thought it was Illinois?

Nope. Homer once pointed near Chicago on the map and Lisa said that's nowhere near Springfield.

    I thought it was Illinois?

Springfield Illinois is the captial, and the often speak about GOING to capital city. So its obviously not there.

Most likely it is Springfield, Oregon. The reason? Matt Groening, the creator of The Simpsons, grew up in Portland, Oregon and many things in The Simpsons are based on things from Oregon. In Oregon's Springfield there is a Nuclear Power Plant and it is somewhat near an ocean and a river, something the Simpson's springfield fluctuates between.

    I rest my case.

"Hello, this Homer Simpson aka Happy Dude. The court has asked me to call everyone in town and apologize for my telemarketing scam. I'm sorry. If you can find it in your heart to forgive me. Then send $1 to Sorry Dude 742 Evergreen Terrace, Springfield. You have the power."

*sigh* There is no designated state as to where Springfield is. Debate all you want, but you will never reach an answer, because there is no answer.

    Some people...

I thought that too but...when bart is saving up to buy Radioactive Man Issue #1 he turns a bottle into apu and asks for the dime. And Oregon and Michigan are the only two states where you get 10 cents and not 5 for recycling bottles

Although in another episode Lisa states that you get 5 cents for recycling cans, and I'd take lisa's word over bart's on such things so I don't think it's oregon, and it's not Michigan because they've mentioned michigan several times in a context meaning it's a different state

And the behind the laughter episode I think was simply referring to the family as if Kentucky is where they live in real life, not necessarily where the show takes place

They never make it clear, I love it. "Springfeild, the entertainment capital of this state"
