Granted, this is an old Simpsons episode, but I only saw it for the first time last week. Guest voice, Mark Hamill - just wondering what your thoughts were. At first I was thinking `this is a sell out` but it was a pretty funny take on the saga. edit/ use the links provided in the thread.
Well it was much, much, MUCH, better than Hamil's turn on Third Rock From the Sun. I loved last night's Simpsons - Lenny and Carl dueling with nuclear rods lit like lightsabers.
Please use the "Star Wars References on other TV shows" databank thread in the Small Screen Star Wars forum to add and discuss this in the topic. Additionally, if you want to discuss this topic in its own thread, you should use the Your Jedi Council Community forum or the Official Simpsons and Futurama Appreciation Thread within the same forum. Thanks. Ken Kenobi- And you have an Irishy day mate
Yeah I loved that part in last nights ep Darth_Banal "I say that The Phantom Menace is the worst Star Wars episode!" "And I say that Attack of the clones is the worst!"
Comic Book Guy:"Hmmm...handwritten script for Star Wars by George Lucas? Princess Leia's anti-jiggle breast tape! Film reel labelled, alternate ending, Luke's father is Chewbacca! Oh! Oh!"
I love the one where Ralph Wiggum wins the Science Fair with his display of Star Wars action figures in their original packaging.
I think my favorite Simpsons Star Wars reference was when Homer and Marge walked out of the theater after the Empire Strikes Back and spoiled it for everyone waiting in line. "I can't believe Darth Vader is Luke Skywalker's father."
"I bent my wookiee" Getting back to the original topic, I loved seeing Mark Hamill on the show - somehow, The Simpsons gives major stars a forum to step outside their comfort zone and mock themselves a bit. I roared when Mark stepped out of the fake-looking ship, and proceeded to talk about long-distance calling plans that save you money. ***** Comic Book Guy, cuddling his Jar Jar doll: "Oh, Jar Jar, everyone hates you but me."
