cool game but whats disk 2 for? and i cant find the pet gym thingy.

does anyone else have this game?

I think you have to buy the pet gym thing, just like other furniture. Cool game, even cooler with the cheat codes.

Well, you had to use disk 2 for the installation, so I guess it has something in it.

I don't know - the Sims is really complicated, now. Between jobs, pets, friends, family... it's iNTENSE.

 

Yeah heaven forbid you pet your dog on this game it always bites. Even if it and the owner have a good relationship and are in good moods; dogs also relieve themselves everywhere, even if you have a tree or fire hydren. Ive got dogs that have 6 or 7 points on its housebreaking stats, and they still use the kitchen as a restroom.


Does anyone else hate the panick attacks the sims always throw? They dont get enough sleep so they waste time by throwing a tantrum, they need fun so they throw their arms in the air and start screaming, theyre hungry so they take precious time to tell you. All of this panicking does no good, it wastes time that they could be having fun, sleeping or fixing themselves something to eat.

Time also moves WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too fast, it took one of my sims 25 minutes to get from the bedroom, to the bathroom on the other side of the house, and it isnt that big of a house. I hope for one more game, something that fixes the time, and improve the AI in the game, but this is supposed to be the last.

 

They should make an geriatric option, maybe. The only way Sims ever die is if something weird happens to them like they electricute themselves or they get a cold. Can't they ever live into old age?!

The time/tantrums thing really irks me, too. I have to get my Sim up at 5 in the morning for the 7 o'clock carpool. All he can do is shower and eat.

It's really annoying when they stand there for 20 minutes going, "YOO HOO! YOO HOO! GRAAAAHHFJAWIEJLKN!!!" to get some fun or sleep when you've already told them too, but they stand there and whine.

 

Alright, did they remove the little gnome making thing when they came out with unleashed? Because I just bought it and now I can't find that damned gnome making/mechanics building table ANYWHERE. Aaaaaargh.

 

It's still in there, Ariana, I'm using it.

But to stay on topic.. I never used that second CD, so I dunno what the heck it's supposed to do.

 

Probably just for installation, I would think.

On the subject of Sims, does anyone have The Sims Online yet? I heard it's kinda sucky.

 

No I haven't got it, is it out?

I might check it out, it seems interesting.. But I'll wait for the reviews, if they all say it sucks...

 

I thought it was out. I looked in Wal Mart today, they didn't have it, but I live in such a tiny town I thought maybe they hadn't gotten a shipment yet.

The reviews for it on Amazon.com are pretty harsh.

Ouch that was harsh reviews. Im not really intrested in buying Sims Online anyway!

The Only online games I want is World War II online and Star Wars Galaxies. I will play AOE or SWGB online however!

 

Galaxies is ofcourse also on my wish list!

 

I was interested in it till I read the reviews. It's really not worth the 50 bucks and monthly fee if it's just a chat room.

If they make some changes, I'd think about looking into it again. But untill then, I'll stick to Unleashed.

 

i don't think i made it clear when i posted this thread. I ment to say that this is for all sims unllleashed disscusion but i just had some questions. So you can talk about anything sims unleashed related. i just thought you might have thout that tis was only about disk 2. OK. Procede.

 

Could someone remind me of the cheat for unlimited money in the original Sims? I don't remember it and one of my families is ghetto poor, being they lost their jobs and all. (That and I just got the 'House Party' expansion pack and I want to be able to buy some new stuff!) Help is greatly appreciated.


Edit: So I don't derail the whole thread by not discussing 'The Sims Unleashed', I would like to make the comment that I don't have that yet and I'm jealous of all that do. So give me a taste of what's all included with this newest expansion pack. What are all the new features?

I don't know if there's one for unlimited money, but you can get the little code box up and type in "rosebud" and then ";!;!;!" etc. and each ;! gives you 1000 more.

Rosebud might be replaced with klaupacious, though.

 

See it's getting that code box up that I have problems with. It's been a while since I've played due to lack of time, so I can't remember how to do it. Then I got all frustrated and it was no good.

Can someone explain 'The Sims' to me?

I got it with my laptop......I can't stand it. It's too boring.

I spent three hours just watching my Sim character walk back and forth. Really doing nothing.

Is there any way you can have a fistfight?

Or armed robbery?

Or maybe cut off an arm or something?


I wouldn't mind it if they combined 'The Sims' with 'Grand Theft Auto 3' or something...make it more bearable.
