The Sith Holocrons! Let's list all of 'em (not Episode II related...hopefully)

- 5000 years BBY: Odan Urr comes upon an ancient Sith Holocron (The Fall of the Sith Empire)
- 4000 years BBY: The same Sith Holocron is stolen by Exar Kun. (The Sith War)
- 4700 years BBY: another Sith Holocron is discovered. (TotJ companion)
- 2032 years BBY: A rogue Jedi steals a Sith Holocron from the Jedi Temple. He restarts the Sith Order with it.(Dark Side Sourcebook)
- 1032 years BBY: Darth Bane finds a Sith Holocron on Dxun. (Bane of the Sith)
- 32 years BBY: Anakin Skywalker comes upon a Sith Holocron on Tatooine (The Hunt for Anakin Skywalker)
-32 years BBY: Darth Maul gets ahold of a Sith Holocron (DM: SH)
- 29 years BBY: The Jedi Order gets another Sith Holocron, one hidden for years (The Followers)

So how many is that? 7? But it could be less than that, as some of the stolen holocrons and lost holocrons could be ones seen before.

 

Mind the spoilage, please. I'm as excited as the rest of you, but we must remember this is a non-movie-spoiler forum. Let's ruffle some feathers in the movie forum and discuss spoilers here. Thanks!

 

I don't recall Maul getting a hold of a Sith holocron in Shadow Hunter. He got a hold of a holocron, yes. But it seems that by that time there are more types than merely the Sith and Jedi holocrons. The one Maul got a hold of in the book was merely an informational holocron that had details of Sidious's plans.

 

Hmmm...wasn't it the same one the Toydarian was trying to sell though?

 

There is another article about holocrons over at wizards.com/starwars put up recently.

 

Mavrick, no, it wasn't. And I'm now inclined to believe that Anakin actually found a Jedi holocron, rather then a Sith. I believe it was described as cube-shaped.

Suffice to say, in a movie that rhymes with Blattack of the Bones, a place that rhymes with the Bed-dye Arbibes has the last remaining thing that rhymes with Bith Cronolon.

 

The one the Toydarian was going to sell Lorn thought could be a Sith holocron, though he wasn't sure if it wasn't a Jedi holocron either. However, it was a cube shaped holocron. Sith holocron's are pyramidal in shape.

The Sith Holocron Palaptine has that Leia takes in DE. Luke uses it in JAT.

 

Leia took a Jedi holocron from Palpatine in DE, not a Sith holocron. It had been owned by both Bodo Baas and his ancestor Vodo Siosk Baas, both Jedi Masters, and Bodo Baas had been the last Gatekeepr of the holocron. The message even started out saying "Greeting Jedi".

 

Righto, knight.

Though even jedi holocrons ofton times have Sith Knowledge in them for masters to use as research and explain what to avoid. But such knowledge tends to be locked in such a way that low level jedi can't just access it.

 

Which Vodo Siosk Baas should have made sure to do with Kun around. But he couldn't foresee that Kun would hunger for such knowledge so he really didn't give a thought to the potential danger, to the galaxy, he had in his possesion.
