    Title: The Sith?s Eye
    Author: JmsBndGrl
    Genre: Romance, Alternative Universe, Crossover
Characters: Obi-Wan, Anakin, others to be announced.
Summary: The James Bond Film, Goldeneye, told with a Star Wars twist.
    Timeframe: Within the Saga
Disclaimer: I do not own Star Wars. I?m just borrowing George Lucas?s characters for a bit. I also did not create the story Goldeneye in the James Bond Franchise, but have let the Star Wars characters play in it.

Note: Ok, so I know a couple of people are going to say, "What took you so long?" Because I think given my screenname, this story was inevitable. [face_laugh] I think anyone who has known me for any length of time knows I'm a huge James Bond fan and that one of my favorite films in the franchise is Goldeneye. This plot bunny has been nagging at me for quite some time and I have been trying to ignore it so I could work on my other two WIP. However, I was getting writer's block on the other stories by not writing this one, so I finally caved in and started it.

I do have to give a nod to Anakin_Heartbreaker who made the suggestion for this plot bunny in his "Battle Royale" thread. Ever since he mentioned the word "Goldeneye," in that thread this story has grown in my mind. So, thank you for the rabid plot bunny. Maybe some day I can return the favor. :p

That being said, at this point, my stories get updated depending on which one I feel like writing at any given time, so there isn't any regular schedule. My writer's block is too unpredictable for that at this time. I do try to update at least one of my stories on the weekends though. I do keep PM lists for when I do update, so like always, if you want to be on it, let me know.

    Chapter 1:

Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi ran towards the edge of one of the large sinkholes on the planet Utapau, his heavy, brown cloak rippling in his wake as his Force abilities carried him forward at an unnatural speed. The Jedi and his partner were to put a stop to the subversive actions of a Separatist force that was wreaking havoc on the Republic they served. It was one thing if the Separatists were conducting a peaceful protest over their disagreements with the Senate, but when innocent civilians started to die it was time for the Jedi to step in and secure peace. Intelligence reported that Utapau was the staging area for the Separatists forces and it was thought that one covert strike by the Jedi could end the conflict that engulfed the galaxy.

Halting at the edge of the sinkhole, Obi-Wan peered down the steep drop to assess what he was facing. One of his hands, callused from years of Jedi training came up to thoughtfully stroke his bearded chin as his blue-green eyes narrowed on the target he needed to reach. Knowing what he had to do, Obi-Wan closed his eyes and opened his senses to the Force to push his apprehension aside for what he had to do next.

Obi-Wan shrugged out of his Jedi cloak, discarding it on the ground where it would not get in his way. With one hand, he checked that his lightsaber was secured to his belt, and with the other he rummaged in a pocket for a length of wire attached to a piton. Winding the wire across his left hand to secure it for the time being, Obi-Wan took one final deep breath before launching himself over the edge of the sinkhole so that he was falling in a graceful swan dive towards a small landing platform.

Closing his eyes to prevent them from watering due to the air rushing past him, Obi-Wan used his knowledge of the Force to guide his actions. Unwinding the wire from his left hand, Obi-Wan held the piton at the ready as he continued his freefall. He did not act until he was just above a small outcropping of rock jutting from one of the sinkholes walls. Moving with a calmness that seemed to disregard the real danger he was in; Obi-Wan swung the small piton toward the outcropping he could sense through the Force. The piton successfully dug itself into the rock?s face causing the

Finally, you're actually writing a James Bond crossover! :D

I can tell who Bond is, though I am not surprised. :p

The most fun I had writing the Casino Royale crossover was introducing the Star Wars characters to their alter egos, and having the readers guess who was making an appearance next. That is one thing I will be eagerly looking for. ;)

I wonder who 006 is going to be? For that matter, who the Bond Girls will be? Will it be a Sabewan, a Siriwan, or something else...The possibilites are intriguing.

As for this post. Great opening scene, totally like the start from Golden Eye. Loved the banter between Obi and Ani.

I'm not on the boards much, but this will be one fic that I will certainly be watching with great interest.

    =D=

Anakin_Heartbreaker: I do wonder what you would have done had I made Anakin "James Bond." :p But you are right, I am nothing if not predictable in that case. Of course, I would think given who is 007, 006's Star Wars equivalent would be obvious, but of course, I am the author, so I already know what is going to happen. Regardless I think that character choice should be cleared up fairly soon. As for the Bond girls, that was one of the hardest decisions to make because when Anakin is James Bond the decision is easy. Padme gets to be the main Bond girl, but it doesn't work as well when you put Obi-Wan in the role. So then you start looking at Sabe, Siri, and OCs (Aila was considered, but not chosen). I have made my final decision on that one, so you'll just have to wait and see what I chose.

    HandmaidenVeme: Thanks! :)

To Everybody: Thanks for reading. I'm going to try to update this next weekend, but we'll see how things go.

Hello. This is a good story.

I don't like Anakin, but I like Obi-Wan,(not in that way, I'm a dude :p )so, a story where Obi-Wan is James Bond is kinda cool to me, as a Bond fan myself. :)

Any chance of an update soon?

P.S. I might start my own Star Wars/James Bond crossover story, provided that I can be sure to get some readers. Maybe one set in a more grim film like Licence to Kill, but a fun adventure like The Spy Who Loved Me would do great as well.

NATIONALGREATNESS: Hi! Thanks for reading. I am an Obi-Wan fangirl all the way, so there was only one person who was going to play "Bond," in this story. However to be fair, I do like Anakin as most of my stories involve him even though if we are going to talk volume, my longest story(ies) is/are about Obi-Wan. The nice thing about Anakin is as a character it is easier to turn him light and dark rather quickly, but Obi-Wan is a bit harder to manipulate. This one shouldn't be too bad because he gets to be the good guy in this one.

Goldeneye is one of my favorite Bond films. It was actually the first Bond file I was "allowed" to see (I had seen a few of the others without my parents knowing [face_mischief]). I was going to update this weekend, but DRL had other ideas and all I have time for is to leave this message rather than type out the next post. I'll see if I can write a little during the week, If DRL gives me a bit of a break I might manage to get part of the next chapter written and then I'll post that.

As for your story ideas, personally I am not a fan of Timothy Dalton's Bond, so I am the least knowledgable about The Living Daylights and License to Kill because they are the two I watch the least (followed closely by Connery's Thunderball). However, I do love The Spy Who Loved Me as it is one of my favorite Roger Moore Bond films. However, you have to write whatever you feel comfortable with so at the end the choice is yours.

To Everybody: As one Bond girl once said, "Even accountants have imagination." Unfortunately, this accountant's imagination can't get any writing done this weekend due to DRL picking on her. If I get a chance I'll try to "escape the numbers" during the week and write a little bit on this story. If I get anything decent written, I'll post part of the next chapter during the week.

To Everybody: Sorry about the delay, DRL is being evil. Things should get better in July as the latest DRL insanity will end, but for now updates to all my fics will be a bit sporadic. That being said, my plan is to work on my other two stories next and then I am going on vacation for two weeks and won't have access to a computer. So keep that in mind when waiting for updates. Here is the next chapter.

    Chapter 2:

Obi-Wan and Anakin sprinted down one long causeway that led to the direction that Anakin had seen General Grievous and the Separatist leaders retreat. Upon reaching the junction in the causeway, both Obi-Wan and Anakin halted at the corner and paused so they could peer down the next hallway for any sign of their enemy. However, neither the Droid General nor the other Separatist leaders were found. The only thing of note down the hall were two battle droids standing guard in front of one of the doors a few meters away from them.

?What do you want to bet Grievous is in there?? Anakin whispered to Obi-Wan as the younger Jedi reached for his lightsaber.

Obi-Wan shook his head. ?I don?t think so. I would think he?d have a stronger guard.?

Anakin shrugged. ?Maybe, but then why would you have a guard at all?? Silence fell between the two men for a moment before Anakin added. ?I am going to find out.?

?Wait, Anakin.? Obi-Wan grabbed the younger man?s upper arm. ?We should be cautious.?

Anakin flashed Obi-Wan a wide grin before answering, ?Hey! It?s me!?

Obi-Wan shook his head in annoyance as Anakin shrugged out of his grasp and sprinted towards the two battle droids. For years Obi-Wan had been trying to teach Anakin not to act rashly, but it seemed to be a trait that could not be trained out of the younger Jedi. Even when trying to execute a sneak attack, Anakin Skywalker was not one for subtlety. If anyone managed to escape one of Anakin?s brazen attacks, it would be common knowledge that the younger Jedi was around.

For a moment the battle droids were oblivious to what was going on as their attention was focused straight ahead rather than to the side where Anakin was sprinting to them. However, as Anakin?s lightsaber ignited, the sound caught the attention of the two droids who immediately raised their weapons and pointed them at the Jedi. ?Halt!? Both droids yelled in unison. However, they did not give Anakin time to stop. Instead, they just started firing at the young Jedi. Unfortunately the droids did not consider who they were facing and their attack only managed to have their own blaster fire deflected by Anakin?s lightsaber and aimed back at them.

?All too easy.? Anakin stated with a smile as the last droid fell allowing him free access to the door they had once guarded.

?Why must you always charge headlong into everything?? Obi-Wan admonished as he ran to his former padawan?s side, his own lightsaber held in his hand as he scanned the area for any sign that their enemy had been alerted to their presence. Although Anakin?s attacks were generally effective, they did have a tendency to undermine the element of surprise tactic Obi-Wan was counting on.

?Because you won?t.? Anakin answered with a shrug as he pushed at the doors control?s trying to get it to open. However, the door was locked and would not open. Anakin sighed as he raised his lightsaber and prepared to press the white-hot blade through the doorway. ?I wish R2 could have come with us, he could have opened this in a second.?

Before Anakin could lunge towards the door, Obi-Wan used the Force to pull the younger man?s lightsaber out of his hands and deactivated it.

?No!? Anakin shouted indignantly as his weapon was stolen from him. He started to reach toward the weapon held securely in Obi-Wan?s right hand.

Obi-Wan raised his left hand in a gesture to silence the younger man and took a minute to look left and right to double check that Anakin?s outburst had not alerted their enemy. ?Patience, my young padawan. I believe I warned you about rushing into things

    Hi,

    Thanks for your advice. :)

And, great update! Interesting how some of the dialogue is almost directly from Goldeneye: "Half of everything is luck" - but the response was from Star Wars.

You might like to read my story, which is called "Revenge of the Dark Side - Or not?" and is a black humour/horror re-write of the latter half of ROTS. Check it out, it's worth a read.

NationalGreatness: There will be James Bond lines in here given the nature of the story, but where possible, I will align them with the Star Wars universe, so like in that last scene you get a mix of Bond and Star Wars. Depends on the scene. Obi-Wan is not exactly like James Bond, so it does require a bit of straying from the movie Goldeneye to keep his character in tact, but overall the story is still Goldeneye. In the same vein, because of the nature of events in this story it also forces Obi-Wan to move slightly from his normal behavior, but that is why he is the lead character, he gets to change. :)

HandmaidenVeme: No killing the author allowed for what they are about to do. Remember, I did warn you. Although I will admit it was hard to do, because it is something I have never done in one of my stories before. However, I'll make it up to you, my Anakin plot bunnies were hopping this weekend, so I'll be writing something else one of these days. [:D] [:D] [:D]

Anakin_Heartbreaker: Yes, I know what you mean. ;)

To Everybody: New post and it ends the opening sequence of Goldeneye, so we can move onto the rest of the story.

    Chapter 3:

?Open the door!? General Grievous, the Separatist?s droid general called out to his accompanying troop of droids as they approached the artillery room that surveillance had spied the two Jedi infiltrators enter. Two droids rushed forward to carry out Grievous? orders as the General followed behind them, flanked by four of his faithful, but mindless bodyguard droids. Grievous towered over all of his minions, his armored body masking his vulnerable flesh in a display of power and strength. Although he was covered from head to toe in white body armor, no droid or human would mistake the blackness inherit in Grievous? soul. Grievous was a heartless murderer and he intended to live up to that claim with the Jedi inside the artillery room.

Lean mechanical limbs clanged against the floor with each of the General?s steps, echoing louder than the surround droids. With his intentions set, Grievous? cloak fanned out from him as he drew closer to the target and within its folds and nestled behind his armored body rested part of the lightsaber collection. He collected lightsabers from the Jedi he had slain during the war and he wanted two more to add to that collection.

?General, they have jammed the doors, we cannot?? The droid was cut off as Grievous shoved the offending droid aside into a heap on the floor. The force of the general?s attack caused the little droid?s body to crumble into a pile of mangled scrap upon the floor.

?You fool. There are ways around that, but due to your incompetence, I must do this myself.? Grievous spat angrily, throwing the now broken droid a disgusted look as its mangled body twitched and sparked in response. The other droid at the door fled down the long Utapaun causeway, not wanting to meet the same fate as his counterpart. Behind Grievous the remaining troop of droids that had accompanied the General took a step backwards so as not to get in the General?s way.

Focusing his yellowish eyes upon the doorway, Grievous shouted ?Jedi scum!? As he used one hand to undo the clasp to his cloak and used the other to pull out two lightsabers. Before the cloak could flutter to the ground, Grievous moved the hand that had been at the cloak?s clasp to retrieve the other two lightsabers that had been resting within its folds. With two lightsabers in one hand and two in the other, Grievous gave another cry of fury as he split apart his arms into four appendages, ignited the lightsabers, and lunged them at the durasteel door. As if anticipating the battle that lay ahead of them, Grievous? bodyguards ignited their electrostaffs and awaited their master?s instructions.

    ***

Upon hearing the echo of Grievous? footsteps drawing nearer, Obi-Wan and Anakin each moved behind a larger piece of weaponry, seeking cover to assess Grievous? attack. Obi-Wan was

You know how long it is...) on second thought...I won't cut my hair but I will wear black until the next Celebration...wait, I live in Florida and it's summer...I'm so grief-sticken that I don't even know what I'm talking about anymore!!!!! *sobs*

I really enjoyed the way you meshed Star Wars into that sequence. :D

Poor Obi-Wan....And you know what I mean! ;)

I am wondering how close will this actually follow Golden Eye. [face_thinking] I mean when I wrote Battle Royale, I pretty much did it scene for scene with Casino Royale. Is that what you're going to do, or is that information highly classified?! LOL!

Eek.... I thought I did author replies for this, I guess not.

HandmaidenVeme: Someone I know seriously needs to go watch Goldeneye, because I don't think you would be giving me the same response then. [face_mischief] And why would I hurt Obi-Wan when there are other characters to destroy? [face_devil] (Always in Motion does not count) [face_laugh]

Anakin_Heartbreaker: Poor Obi-Wan indeed. ;) The plan is this will follow Goldeneye relatively closely, there will just be tweaks periodically when something does not fit into the Star Wars universe, and the main villain's motive has to be tweaked a bit to work with their character. [face_whistling] So no, the info isn't classified per se. The characters that play specific roles are, but all we be revealed in time.

To Everyone: Ok for those of you who have seen Goldeneye, I keep changing minor characters in this story (i.e. M, moneypenny, Boris, etc....), so this story is on a temporary hiatus until I nail that list down. Hopefully won't be long considering I know the story forwards and backwards. The main characters are set, just a matter of getting these other players in their places.

HandmaidenVeme: Well if you don't watch the movie, then you'll just have to wait and see. [face_whistling] Either way, reading your reaction to this story should be fun. [face_mischief] [face_devil]

p_stotts: I think every Anakin fangirl hopes and prays that Anakin did not die. So you'll have to wait and see if your suspicions are correct.

To Everybody: I know it has been a while since I posted, so thanks for everyone's patience. This is a smaller post because we need to get out of the "mourning" period and back into actual story. I am going to try to post a little more regularly on this story. A lot of the DRL issues that came up when I first started writing this one have gone away so as long as the writer's block stay away we should be ok. I do have two other WIP I'm writing on, so I will be flipping between my stories, but I will try to be a bit better about updating this one.

    Chapter 4:

Although the galaxy lost one of its heroes that fateful day on Utapau, the Clone Wars did draw to a seeming close that day. It seemed that with Anakin Skywalker?s death, the leaders of the Republic and the Separatists realized that both were losing more than they were gaining. The Separatists still had their grievances with the Galactic Republic and refused to take part in the government, deciding instead to live under their own set of rules. However, the fighting had stopped. The galaxy may not have come together over Skywalker?s death, but at least the ceasefire was a start.

Over the course of the next year Chancellor Palpatine worked tirelessly to coax the Separatists back into the Republic, but the Separatists always answered with defiance and suspicion. During negotiations, the Jedi Knights struggled to maintain some semblance of peace and order. However somehow war was always diverted and peace between the two governmental factions reigned. The peace was strained, but after years of watching their comrades and fellow citizens die the Jedi Council and most of the Jedi felt tension was better than all out war.

For his part, Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi was furious with the Republic, the Separatists, and the Jedi. He felt the lack of unity in the galaxy was a slap to Anakin?s memory. His best friend had lost his life serving to protect the galaxy and its citizens and those same citizens could not settle their differences.

To make matters worse, in the cease fire, General Grievous and Count Dooku were allowed to live and that incensed Obi-Wan. They were vile murderers who took out a good man, his best friend, and it was a complete injustice that they were still alive. Every day, Obi-Wan prayed they would do something that would allow him to go after them and avenge his friend, but that day seemed to never come. Of course, the rest of the Jedi Council had prevented him from going after them, keeping him planet side to handle minor disagreements. They seemed to think time alone would allow his emotions to cool and allow him to heal from the loss of his padawan, but instead it just gave him time to brood.

When not working, his days and nights were spent in the lower levels of Coruscant, trying to lose his haunting memories in the seedy bars. Before Anakin?s death he would have never entered one of those establishments, but grief seemed to unleash a bit of recklessness in Obi-Wan. In addition, the threat that some of the bars vile patrons gave him a bit of a high. He half wished they would strike against him and give him an excuse to unleash the pain buried inside him. However, no one ever gave him that chance, so like he did on most days, he left one bar and started walking towards another one to find some solace. He was just slipping into his brooding once more when a speeder flew past him. It would have hit him had his Jedi senses not warned him to jump out of the way.

For a moment indignant irritation flashed through Obi-Wan?s mind and he almost cursed Anakin?s name on a reflex to the reckless driver. Anakin had always driven Obi-Wan insane with his
