After a 15 years absence Star Wars Micro Machines are now finally back to their former Galoob glory days, ready for a new generation of fans! Force Friday, September 4th, will be a day long remembered. We will see a broad focus of Micro Machines vehicles, mini figures, playsets and creatures spanning the whole Saga hitting toy aisles.

Post your news, finds and thoughts to one of the greatest toy lines of the 80's and 90's finally returning in full swing here.
What would you like to see? What are you most looking forward to?

Personally, this is the greatest SW toy news I've heard in 15 years. Galoob's Micro Machines have been my all-time favourite toys since I was a kid. My parents bought them for me since the early nineties and I loved them to bits until Galoob merged with Hasbro in 1998 as part to expand only to be shut down by them two years later. For the next fifteen years I've been dreaming of Star Wars Micro Machines being made for Attack of the Clones, Revenge of the Sith and The Clone Wars, but chances became slimmer and slimmer and so did hope. But I never quite gave up believing they'd return some day.

I can't express just how happy I am that Hasbro is finally, after 12 and 10 years respectively, they're making the first ever Micro Machines for Episode II and III. They made a half-hearted effort back in 2005, but that was short-lived, because neither the ships nor the mini-figures were in scale with the original line. But this, this is where the money is at. You got a wide variety of brand-new, highly detailed ships, creatures and mini-figures that spans the whole saga.

This is the first non-3 3/4" Hasbro line I'll fully support. If sales are strong especially at the start, this line could become the Galactic Heroes of the decade and go on for five to ten years, easily. I will resist to go down the dark path and wait for clearance, or this line could be as short-lived as Star Wars Command (last year's SW army men figures, which had great potential).

Can't wait to go down to a toy store to find them. My reaction will probably be as giddy as this fellow SW collector's (video by FilmakerMike).

I'm glad to see the playsets back, I had/have a few of those, they're fun toys. I wonder if they'll eventually put out the 4-5" scale ship line that came out in the 90's - I really liked those and still have a few in storage.

I know the Micro Machines line has a pretty passionate following, so I'm glad to see it back for their sake. I never did get into the Micro Machine line, but I liked the original vintage micro series Kenner did back in the day, so I totally get it.

Maybe it'll be handled the same way like it was in the 90's. When Micro Machines are a success they'll reintroduce Action Fleet as well. I think both lines could compliment each other greatly.

Maybe it's nostalgia and/or foggy memory, but the ones I saw in the store today didn't seem as good as the one I had as a kid.

They seemed less detailed, less well painted, and just overall cheaper looking.

Might also be because I've been spoiled by the x-wing miniatures for the past 2 years.

The blockade runner is smaller and skinnier generally, but otherwise it's largely different materials but often the exact same too.

They're actually more detailed than the 90's production pieces due to the advances in digital sculpting technology and the plastic used. They're only missing a paint wash, which seems out of Hasbro's budget these days.

has anyone got the original figures (not Action Fleet) but the original 90s figures, and can someone post a quick pic of a couple of those figures against the new ones from 2015?

I'd love to buy the 2015 sets, but want to know if the figures are the same size or if they're a little larger like the previous sets released for ROTS

So happy these are back and I've been buying them up, but man there needs to be some figure packs like they did in the 90s.

Absolutely! Micro Machines figurines made for such awesome play value.

Unfortunately the big TRU exclusive Ultimate Saga Battles Pack won't be sold overseas. Damn. :(

Yeah, I'm loving these. So glad to have them back. My only issue is I wish they still had the plastic stands with them.
