Well, that's usual what limited availability means when it comes to Amazon, sigh! I ordered something from them ages and ages ago and after about six months, they told me it has actually been withdrawn seven months ago.

Hmmm, just got a reply from my friend at BBC Enterprises saying that Tripods 2-4 in video have been deleted as has Tripods 2. He doesn't know why.

E-bay might be a good bet or Amazon auctions. Hmm, there must be a Tripods forum somewhere - do a search and try posting the question there.

 

Tripods had a creepy feel to it but i liked it.

LOL! I apprenticed at the Beeb and it's actually got a world famous reputation as a training ground - the low budget makes for some great thinking and creativity.

If hes there doing it then they should do a remake of tripods and complete the entire
series.

His CGI work is just Brilliant in B5

 

A remake would be good, but there's a limit to what should and shouldn't be re-made. Think the Beeb is still recovering from the American attempt at Dr. Who Admittedly, I like it but that's cos Paul McGann is gorgeous

 

That Dr Who with Paul McGann in it wasnt bad actually- though the Tardis was VERY OTT!!! they never finished the Tripods?

 

The ending was awful - and making the Dr. half human. //hangs head in digust//

I don't actually remember how Tripods ended but I don't remember it actually having an ending. Some things are best unfinished - like the Prisoner

C I mean let BBC take over the series once more SFX has change dramatically and could more cheaper because of computers.

 

Well, if you write to them they may, but it's unlikely. They have a policy of not going back however hard they are pushed. I'm disappointed that UK Gold haven't taken to the challenge. Blake 7 is boring me to death and it would be good if they replaced it with some other ScFi.

Ok, yes - every weekend for the last 3 years I have gotten up early and watched UK Gold and I'm bored of it. I've seen them all so many times now. If it wasn't for my love of Avon and his evil calculating manners I'd have stopped watching it ages ago
