I searched, there isn't a thread for this so I thought I would make one.

I don't know who's idea it was, but I appreciate that they tried to stick every badass thing they could think up on one cover that hadn't been done before.

I'm glad they chose to go out with a bang.

 

It's cool to see a Nagai so prominent on the cover! I can only hope this book doesn't do many rewrites on them and contradicts what I've written...

Don't take this the wrong way, but I find it somewhat off-putting that a SW-Author would have to hope for such things. I mean its sad, really. Something's inherently wrong when one contributor is left to wonder whether his (pre-existing) work will be included inside other publications made available later, by the same franchise. I know its old hat, but it still blows my mind.

You're missing the Gryph-class craftiness here: "I can only hope || this book doesn't do many rewrites on them || and contradicts what I've written..." Reading the clauses of that sentence that way, it means a very different thing.

(PS: I know this is the interwebs and that it is wrong to assume people to have common sense, but if anybody takes this post seriously, I am losing all faith in humanity. )

Well, if this book was coming out much later, maybe I wouldn't worry about that, but I figure that one of these guides had probably been in production long before my article came out. And sometimes a detail or two can get missed in the interim. In that way, I wouldn't even consider it a real continuity error. Just some bad timing that couldn't be avoided.

Though, to be honest, I really didn't create any huge groundbreaking changes that would necessitate comparing of notes prior to these being published.

 

This looks awesome, but obviously it's also fairly depressing being the last book. Ah well... at least they seem to be going out with a bang, so to speak.

Now to hope this is one of those sourcebooks that does things decently, and doesn't bastardise them into being a group created by Mon Mothma whilst under the possession of Exar Kun.

What if Voss Parck traveled around the Unknown Regions disguised as a Rakata on a dinosaur? Prove to me he didn't! See! You have no proof! There could be a whole chapter concerning the many adventures of Voss Parck on his trusty dino.

Zorrixor, back me up here... I'm sure you could cook up a decent conspiracy theory out of this in no time. Although I daresay it would include something like the lost chain of Goodvalors around Nirauan.

 

They're totally gonna save that for whenever Zahn gets around to writing about the Thrawn clone. Because if the last few years has taught us anything, it is that LFL and its licensees do NOT leave any loose ends untied.

And...yes, that appears to be a Rakatan riding a dinosaur... I was wondering when they were gonna do the Jurassic Park cross-over XP
