Raja Io didn't want to derail her thread about Harry freaking Potter and his apparently long neck.

But you know Voldemort is basically the only awesome thing to come from the series. And also in a creepy sort of way he is hot...Especially in the new movie wearing a suit. It's good to know I'm not the only one who thinks so.

It's midnight, I'm probably going to wake up tomorrow and regret making this thread...Whatever.

Oh and I also found this:

No one can rock the monochromatic look like a psychotic mass murderer. No one. Take that, Regis Philbin!

when dumbledore first met with the young tom riddle, in order to impress the boy he fragged him good with a surprisingly quick "got yer nose" spell. alas, he forgot to give back the nose and this explains all of voldemort's bitterness later in life.

I agree about the hotness. I also thought he had BEAUTIFUL feet when he first showed up. Them things belong in a painting. =P~

Seriously, I've been indifferent to him in the books but I ADORE how well he's come out in the movies. :)

    Ha ha ha, aww . . .

    :(

I seriously don't know. My entire knowledge of Harry Potter comes from that "Snape kills Dumbeldore!" YTMND where the little girl starts crying, and the most recent movie, which I fell asleep about forty minutes into, (forty minutes of me being there--I arrived ten minutes late).

Tom Riddle is a young Lord voldemort. I have never understood the whole no nose thing.

I understand the aesthetic design reasons. I am unaware of who, within the continuity, the lack of nose came about, or for that matter why. I assume it has to do with some dark magic he adopted to make himself more powerful (Horcruxes for example).

Dunno. Just saying that's the way he's described in the books, too.
From GOF: "Whiter than a skull, with wide livid scarlet eyes, and a nose that was flat as a snake's with slits for nostrils...."
But yeah, maybe has something to do with horcruxes since Nagini, his snake, is a horcrux.

Yeah, and he also should have red eyes with snake-like slits for pupils, but the filmmakers didn't bother with it.

Ralph Fiennes is a perfect Voldemort for me, but that graveyard scene in GOF was terribly staged (I mean, Harry Potter "above" Voldemort? [face_beatup]) and even worse directed (Voldemort's rebirth is awesome, but from the point where he notices Harry it all goes downhill - he acts too wildly and almost hysterically. He's got no style. I blame the director. [face_frustrated]).

Still, he's hawt - in a creepy sort of way... :p

Yeah I agree it was the director. I know Ralph is more than capable of creeping the heck out of us at that graveyard scene but the director i guess wanted to make Voldy seem just a little bit excited about being back and wanted to gloat a little bit.

See I liked the gloating nature of it. To me it reflects the fact that he is rightfully arogant and we know how dangerous he is that he doesn't have to pose as a menacing dark figure to scare people, his mere presence is frightening enough. He knows how good he is and he finally has the boy who beat him defenseless and at his mercy...he's going to have fun with it. I would.

Ralph Fiennes is awesome...his role in Schindler's List for example is outstanding...He just sits back and totally oozes with malevolence. At least in that movie. Must depend on the director. I haven't seen the last two Harrys so I don't have an opinion on his Voldemort character.
