Them there Star Wars DVD covers is reversible!

My brother started talking to me about DVD covers today. He told me that in anime DVD releases it's quite common to have so called reversible covers, which means you can flip the paper cover under the plastic of the DVD casing to give your DVD different cover art.

Most DVD cases don't have the option of flipping the cover simply because the cover is not accessible. And even when accessible the other side of the cover may just be blank.

I don't remember there being any mention of this reversibility for the Star Wars DVDs. I discovered today, however, that both the covers of Episode I and II are indeed reversible.

Here's the proof. Notice how Episode I still has the title on the front even after the flip:

Even if they're not officially reversible I for one like this new look and I'm going to keep the covers like this for a while.

um what country u live in? I just looked at my Episode 2 dvd's for both full and wide screen...neither are freakin reversable...either ur messing with us or my dvd's suck...and I am sure it is the former...

I live in Finland so it's a Region 2 DVD.

 

I also have reversible covers.

Maybe it's something only Region 2 DVD's have. I'm from Belgium, I get the Benelux edition.

That's gotta be a foreign thing or maybe later produced DVD's; because mine don't have this and I got them both on the day they first went on sale.

Also, my DVD cases don't look anything like Joukahainen's. His look clear and have spots on both sides for DVD's. Mine are black and have one inserted "swinging" spot for a DVD and another spot on one side. The other side (back of the front side), has clips to hold the DVD insert(s).
