I found a Fanfilm, in a remote corner of the galaxy, named TIE-tanic. It has a very funny bit where they have totaly redone the speech in the meeting scene in Episode IV. Darth Vader says 'The ability to control a medium for 20 years is insignificant next to the power of a good chick-flick!'.
Then, about halfway through, it goes into an amazingly well done edited bit of the Titanic setting sail and sinking, caused by the Imperial Forces. There is an AT-AT on the Iceberg.

Has anyone else seen this film? It is very good, but it seems that the company that made it have dissapeared. E-mail me if you want a copy.

    :) ;) :) ;)

I saw it a couple of years ago. I even have a copy of it on a CD somewhere.

That was back in the days before I knew that TFN existed.

It was a really funny flick.

Sorry, I have no usefull information about it...

I enjoyed that fan film. It was one of the few first fan films I ever saw.

Well i cant play my copy anymore but I do believe there is a link off one of the other fan film pages out there ( though none of them are as good as TFN :) )
I did a google search and came up with

    http://www.swfanfilms.com/FinishedMovies/Tie-Tanic/TieTanic.htm

    Check it out.
or do another search for it, sometimes it is hard to find.

Just watched it for the third time today. This is one of those movies you wish you could seem into Best Buy or Target and slip onto the TVs on display <Eg> I'd seen it ages ago, and I still think it's one of the best paradies out there.

Does anyone know how to suggest putting it up on TFN fanfilms?
The origional website which it advertises at the end is nonexistant, so they might have had to remove it for legal reasons. I doubt Lucasfilm would have minded, it's more the titanic people I'm worried about... ?[face_plain]

I just watched that film again for the first time in years.

It's amazing how different that film is than what we are used to seeing now. The quality of fan films has really improved over the years!

Not that the film is bad by any means. It's still one of my all time favorites.

Oh, yes, that is a good one. I'm partial to the first scene because I did a redub of it for a school project (anyone know of the concept of the Mole, used in chemistry? PM me for a .wav you can play synchonized with the movie). That was great, though- a classic in material as well as in age.

Hey, this is a great one. The dubbing and the voices were really good. Vader sounds almost exactly like James Earl Jones. I liked the way they just adapted the sentences, so the lip-sync is still good most of the times.

And the effects are not bad either. I liked the way they put star wars elements into the film.

WHOA! The maker of How the Sith Stole Christmas also made Park Wars!? You learn something new every day...

EDIT: That seems really random, I suppose. On the server that had TIE tanic was also PW, which I downloaded and realized was also made by the Bracewells.

While TIE-tanic is a great parody, TFN can't host it due to the fact that it's *all* footage lifted from both films...
Not only that, but we'd also have to get permission from the creators, who've apparently vanished into the ether after all these years...

So enjoy it if you can find it... but it can't be here, unfortunately...

Shame about the missing makers. If we could contact them, we might be able to get the film up...

Working Box Office/Concessions at a small theater. I start there sometime next week. There's this large monitor over the concessions stand at the front of the theater that shows trailers and making ofs for people while you wait for the movie to start
