Didn't see a thread on it, so thought I'd mention that Fandango states that they will start selling tix on or after april 20th. There is an article on this story on TheForce.net main page. Good luck getting the tickets you want! It didn't mention anything about limit, but there usually is, so be ready for that if you are going as a group.

Fandango doesn't sell at the theater I was hoping to see it at. I hope movietickets.com decides to publish when they'll start selling.

The sun comes up on Australia first, so you'll get to see ROTS a couple of hours sooner than most of us, stinky?

Does anyone know if Lucasfilm is putting restrictions on whether you can use movie passes with ROTS?

Don't know for sure, but if I had to guess I would say no. Usually, from what I understand, a new movie doesn't allow passes to be used for at least a couple of weeks, especially big-name movies like ROTS. I could be wrong, that's just my understanding. I haven't heard anything about LucasFilm mentioning usage of passes.

Revenge of the Sith Tickets at Fandango
Posted By Britany on April 11, 2005

    Fandango reports:

'Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith' will be available to be booked by theatres after 4/20/2005. Tickets will go on sale on Fandango as soon as theatres program show times for this movie in their system.

Please check back on Fandango.com after 4/20/2005 to see when tickets go on sale. Click here and then enter in your zip code to find theatres scheduled to play the highly anticipated next release of Star Wars in your area. Rest assured that as soon as tickets are made available to the public, dates will be updated in our system and tickets may be purchased using our service.

Thanks to eric for the alert.

Wow, this would be great if they go on sale so early. I've had to camp out for the last 2 movies to get into the midnight show.

Fandango even has the theater listed that I want to see it at ... awesome!

"Tickets will go on sale on Fandango as soon as theatres program show times for this movie in their system."

So, technically there may not be tickets for the theater you want on the 20th, because that theater may not have official times yet.
So far, the theater I want to go to says they have no date on when they will be able to sell tickets. So, even though thay are listed at Fandango, I can't order on the 20th if the theater doesn't give Fandango the times.

*goes back to calling the theater once a day and annoying the manager*
    :D

Just got off the phone with my AMC (Pleasure Island, with a DLP screen)
They are selling them at the theater only. Online and by phone will be up later, as they are having technical difficulties! And I'm stuck at work! ARRRRGH!!!

How do you find out what theaters it will even be showing at? I'm trying to figure out which theaters will have digital. For AOTC they had a list of digital projection theaters somewhere.

I got mine an hour ago for DLP at Pleasure Island. :p

Did they give you a confirmation or anything? They told me they don't give confirmations and that it'll all be fine stored on the card. It still frightens me because I'm a freak. I don't really have the desire to fly from Houston to Orlando to find out my tickets don't exist. ;)

I order by phone from them all the time, and that's how they do it. The customer orders are sorted via your card number.
When you get there, you slide your credit card into one of the automated ticket machines and it'll recognize your order and print out your tickets.
Matter of fact, you can pick up the tickets at any time. I'm thinking of going to get mine printed out on Sunday so I can stare at them for a month. LOL! :)
We're all in for a good time. That is such a nice theater for Star Wars premieres!

I love that theater all the time. But, watching the ROTS premiere there at midnight, in DLP, will make it so much better.

Yeah, I know that's how they usually do it. I always order my tickets online. But, you at least get an email confirmation with that. I guess since I can't go down to the theater beforehand (considering I live in TX), I'm a little anxious.

I just bought them online to be sure. [face_blush] My printed confirmations have made me a lot happier, though. :p

I figure, I'll see it enough times that next week to be able to exchange my extra tickets.

They have two showings listed online as midnight and 12:01 (digital).
