In every Somone vs. Somone topic this always comes up. So what's your top 10 picks for midichlorian counts for Luke's generation of Jedi? Dead jedi count too.
    Here's mine

    1. Luke Skywalker
    2. Ben Skywalker
    3. Anakin Solo
    4. Jaina Solo
    5. Jacen Solo
    6. Kyp Durron
    7. Mara Jade
    8. Zekk
    9. Tenel Ka
    10.Ganner Rhysode

I'm not so sure about 4,5, and 6 but I chose the twins over Kyp because they have not reached their full potential yet.

Not including anyone from the prequels, or Kyle (I don?t know enough about him):

    1. Luke, Leia, Jacen, Jaina, Anakin, and Ben (Luke, Leia and Ben might be above the Solo kids, but not by much if they are)
    2. Kyp
    3. Tenel Ka
    4. Mara
    5. Danni and the Barable Hatch mates from SbS and Recovery
    6. Ganner, Alema Rar, Kam Solusar
    7. Zekk and Tahiri
    8. Cilghal, Lowbacca, Ulaha Kore, Corran and Valin
    9. Tekli
    10. Tionne

Keep in mind that there is little proof of any of this.

    1. Luke/Leia
    2. Ben Skywalker
    3. Jacen/Jaina/Anakin Solo
    4. Mara Jade
    5. Corran Horn
    6. Kam Solusar
    7. Kyp
    8. Tenel Ka (because I think her and Jacen's kids are going to be great Jedi)
    9. Cilghal
    10. Lowbacca.

I picked Ben over the Solo kids because both of his parents are Jedi Masters. 5 and lower I really just tossed out there. I would pick Masters over Knights but Tenel and Lobacca are 2 that I hope we see grow into strong Jedi. So it's more of a wish thing.

How can you put Leia above Luke, or Jaina above Jacen? They?re twins. The only real significant difference between the two is a Y chromosome.

Luke is a no-talent hack. He never did a damn thing right in his life before he met Leia. Ever since then he has been doing his best to hold Leia back and at the same time take the credit for all her hard work. It's sort of like the terrible movie "Twins" with Leia as Arnold and Luke as Danny Devito. The situation is much the same with Jaina/Jacen, except that everyone knows how lame Jacen is. They aren't identical twins anyway, it would be silly to assume they had exactly the same midichlorian count.

Where in the world are you getting that idea? Give me two examples where Luke is the one who is preventing Leia from becoming a Jedi. Also, give me two examples where Luke takes credit for Leia?s hard work.

And then, when you?re done doing that, do the same for Jacen and Jaina.

    They aren't identical twins anyway?

That is why I said that the significant difference between the two was a Y chromosome.

?it would be silly to assume they had exactly the same midichlorian count.

No it wouldn?t. Other than the differences in their chromosomes, and a few other minor genetic differences, they are genetically the same. Even if there were a difference in their midichlorian count, it wouldn?t be a measurable difference.

They aren't necessarily any more genetically similar than any other pair of siblings. The significant difference is the Y chromosome.... and all the other ones. If they did happen to have the same midichlorian count, it would be through sheer random chance.

And I don't ever recall saying that Jacen held Jaina back. The most logical (and intended) antecedent of "The situation" is "the terrible movie 'Twins'".

I'm not going to lie to you. I have no intention of providing two examples of Luke holding Leia back, or him taking credit for her hard work. To do so would be a waste of my time, almost as big a waste as taking anything said in this thread full of absurd speculation seriously.

They aren't necessarily any more genetically similar than any other pair of siblings.

I never said that they were. All siblings are very genetically similar, and so all siblings would be most likely to have a very similar (if not identical) midichlorian count.

And I don't ever recall saying that Jacen held Jaina back. The most logical (and intended) antecedent of "The situation" is "the terrible movie 'Twins'".

You compared Luke and Leia?s relationship to that movie (which I haven?t seen, by the way), and then you said that Jacen and Jaina are similar in the same way. I had assumed that since that movie so well describes Luke and Leia?s relationship, that it did the same with Jacen and Jaina?s. You did not state other wise, so how was I to know, considering that I had never see that movie.

? almost as big a waste as taking anything said in this thread full of absurd speculation seriously.

This is supposed to be fun. It?s Star Wars, not real politics. :)Unless I can prove, beyond the shadow of a doubt, that you are wrong, you have nothing to worry about by explaining yourself. ;)

Above everyone else when they are together: Anakin and Tahiri

    1. Luke/Leia
    2. Anakin/Ben
    3. Jaina/Jacen
    4. Mara
    5. Corran
    6. Kyp
    7. Tahiri
    8. Don't know
    9. Don't care
    10. Don't wanna know

Obviously there is no way to prove or disprove any of this, but I personally think that Ben is somewhat higher than Jacen and Jaina (He's the SON of LUKE SKYWALKER) and for some odd reason I always get the feeling that Anakin is more powerful than his siblings (don't ask why, i don't know) Mara imo is deffinately next (because of the way she handled Yomin Carr in VP) and Corran makes it ahead of Kyp because he is in my opinion (in other words, please don't bash me if your opinion is different, people are allowed to have different opinions) more in tune with the will of the Force than Kyp. Kyp obviously must make the top ten if only by virtue of his potential. Tahiri makes it to the board, and I don't have a clue how the others would fall into place.

NOTE: You'll notice at the very top I have Anakin *and* Tahiri. That is by virtue of the whole "greater than the sum of their parts" thing.

If we're talking midichlorian counts, though, potential and how in tune they are with the force makes no difference.

    1. Luke Skywalker
    2. Anakin Solo
    3. Kyp Durron
    4. Leia Organa Solo
    5. Jacen Solo
    6. Jaina Solo
    7. Kam Solusalar
    8. Corran Horn
    9. Mara Jade
    10. Ganner

Obviously, Luke is #1. I put Anakin so high because it is clear he has a strength in the force comparable only to Luke. Kyp comes next because, as we've seen in the JAT, he's very strong in the force. Plus, in SBS, Anakin says Kyp is nearly as strong as he is. Leia comes next. I don't think she is as naturally strong in the force as Luke. I think that is why Obi-Wan and Yoda chose Luke originally, etc. Jacen and Jaina are completely interchangable in my mind, neither one has done something to put him/her above the other. After that, its a tough call, we never really no how strong the rest of the Jedi are, really. They all could be average force users for all we know. So i put Kam next because he was one of the earliest Masters and has a large leadership role within the Jedi. Corran and Mara come next in no particular order. Ganner gets thrown on there cause I needed one more Jedi and he seemed pretty powerful.

    5.Kyp
    6.Corran
    7.Mara
    8.Solusar (sp?)
    9.Ganner
    10.Danni

This is based on sheer force-potential alone, not what they have done with what they have...

    3. Leia
    4 (tie). Anakin
    4 (tie). Jacen
    4 (tie). Jaina
    7. Kyp
    8. Kam
    9. Corran
    10. Mara

Ben might have a higher count than Luke because of the fact his mother was a Jedi, unlike Luke to Anakin.
The same reasoning goes for the Solo Kids, I just listed them in alfabitacle order.
Kyp is definatly my highest non-Skywalker. After that it is pretty much up in the air. Even though I hate Corran I'd have to say that he is up there.

    5. Kyp

Hmmm. I'd say Luke is high, very high. Ben maybe. Solo kids maybe, they might lose some from one parent being unsensitive for two generations. Leia would be up there I'd guess. Kyp would be above anyone else. He could be higher than the Solo kids though. I'd stick my neck out and say even

    So, my list:

    Luke
    Leia
    Ben
    Kyp/Jacen/Jaina/Anakin

Kyp is stronger than Anakin. IN the EU, he is #2 after Luke. Anakins a cocky ******* that got what he deserved. That's why Kyp's still alive.

If Anakin Skywalker was the highest count ever, why did he ever serve Palpatine? Sure, his count was way up there. That doesn't mean he was the best ever. The prophesy said he would bring balance to the force, not that he would be the greatest jedi ever. Why do people keep thinking that "The Chosen One" has to be the most powerful jedi ever? That is never stated, anywhere. Not as far as I know, anyway.

We don't know why he served Palpatine, yet! We won't know the full reason until 2005.

Anakin Skywalker DOES have the highest count ever as stated in Episode I. Way higher than Yoda, which must have been the highest up to that point, judging by Obi-wan's reactions to the blood test results.

We don't know about anyones count coming after Anakin...which is way this thread is fun conjecture. I would say that all the NJO Jedi have average counts, the exceptions being (as others have suggested):

    --Descendents of Anakin Skywalker
--Kyp Durron (based on his tests with Luke in JAT)
--Mara Jade (I like to assume that the Emperor picks high potential Jedi if he seduced Anakin to the darkside)

No one else comes to mind as have a higher than average potential. We have of course been told about quite a few that have limited potential.

    My 2 cents over.

?potential and how in tune they are with the force makes no difference.

Face Loran, I always thought that the midichlorian count was a Jedi?s physical potential (?physical potential? meaning what their body is capable of, not necessarily their potential for the physical aspects of the Force).

If Anakin Skywalker was the highest count ever, why did he ever serve Palpatine?

Because he was more machine than man, Risste. That means that he had much fewer midichlorians to use, because the majority of his cells were gone.

We know that Anakin never became the greatest Jedi ever. I don?t think that many people would argue that point for very long. What we do know is that Anakin Skywalker had a midichlorian count that was off the scale. That means that the scale was not designed to accommodate his high count. That points to the idea that Anakin was the first living creature they had encountered who had ever had such high of a count.

But that is beside the point because we are talking about Luke?s generation and younger

P.S. Risste, I recommend that you try to separate what you post into paragraphs. It makes it easier on the eyes.

Sorry to burst your bubble here, but this poll is for Luke's generation of Jedi. We don't know 1/10th about the old generation of Jedi compared to Luke's Generation. Maybe after AOTC we can do another poll with the old generation, but right now it's too hard to give an opinion.

    1) Anakin Skywalker (undisputed)
    2) Luke Skywalker
    3) Leia
    4) Yoda
    5) Anakin Solo
    6) Mace
    7) Kyp
    8) Zekk
    9) Jaina
    10) Jacen

i am fairly certain about my ranking...

not because of any hard data (other than anakin is #1), but because that is the impressions i have gotten.

if i am not mistaken but Tionne isnt very powerful and luke had her be more of a helper to the training process and a historian.

also zekk is always underratted... he was portrayed to be stronger in YJK than jacen and jaina...

also i JAT luke states how powerful he found kyp to be....

... he was portrayed to be stronger in YJK than jacen and jaina...

Only when he was using the Dark Side.

About my rating system. It really wasn?t a top ten. It was ten slots. The Skywalker line went into the first slot, and so naturally Tekli and Tionne went into the last two slots, because it had actually stated in the books that both of them didn?t have much potential.

I put Tenel Ka above Mara for no other reason than the fact that there was a prophecy about her birth.

Thanks for the tip on posting, I'll try to break then up from now on.

I agree with the opinion tha Anakin Skywalker never became the greatest jedi ever.

However, I disagree that Anakin's loss of parts of his body would lead to a weakening of his force abilities.

Master Yoda said that "size matters not", and so IMO force strength or weakness doesn't depend on how much body tissue one has, but only on the availability of midichlorians to that tissue.

I also agree that it is difficult to try and compare the old generation with the new. There can be no comparisons except for Luke and Vader (and we don't know if Vader was trying in RoTJ), so to try to make a comprehensive list of all the jedi from both eras is pretty impossible now.
