Top 10 scenes/moments from Harry Potter books - it's your choice! ;-)

OK, here's the deal. Post 10 scenes (it can be a whole scene or just a moment or a line) from Harry Potter books which you find truly memorable, amusing, or just plain cool. Doesn't have to been in any particular order. Oh, and please also include which book it is. You can also write why you like it.

Well, I guess I'll start...

1. The spectacular flight of Fred and George, especially the line "Give her hell from us, Peeves!". Pure genius. (OOTP)
2. McGonagall's unforgettable line "It unscrews the other way." (OOTP)
3. The rebirth of Lord Voldemort. Very scary, but powerful and very memorable. (GOF)
4. The Quidditch World Cup. Pure excitement. (GOF)
5. "Weasley is Our King", the amazing Quidditch victory. (OOTP)
6. All scenes about Dumbledore's Army. I just loved the idea. (OOTP)
7. The Shrieking Shack. Quite a surprise, and was also the beginning of Sirius's popularity. (POA)
8. First look at the Diagon Alley. (PS/SS)
9. The Unbreakable Vow. Very intriguing scene. (HBP)
10. Harry and Ginny's first kiss. Very nicely written, IMHO. (HBP)

 

Any particular reason this can't or shouldn't go in the Diagon Alley thread?
