Memph, TN Topps' TESB 3D widescreen card set coming in May- with my art!

Hey gang-

Sorry to be so M.I.A. on the boards lately but it's been a crazy couple months- cons, art shows, sick pets, day job, and more. I have been drawing a lot, I just couldn't post what I was working on until I got them approved first.

Well, I got approval on some yesterday!

I'm doing sketch cards for Topps' new The Empire Stikes Back 3D widescreen card set which celebrates the 30th anniversary of TESB's release. The cards ship in May and you can find out more at- http://www.topps.com/ent/brands/Empire3DWeb/ESB3D30_Webpage.html

I'm about half way through my cards and I'll post more as I get them approved. I'm using Copic and Prismacolor markers, Copic and acrylic white, and disposable tech pens on most, and I pencil them out first. I'll probably try doing more all pencil ones this next week.

Congratulations Lin! Those look great. You are a very talented artist.

Well, it says 1 guaranteed sketch card in each box. So I guess we will have to be buying several boxes to see what sketch card and autograph card we get. Rob and I used to collect hockey trading cards. I remember buying him a whole box for Christmas one year. We had fun opening each pack and seeing who we got.

Do you know where we will be able to purchase these cards? Will the sketch card have the artist bio on the back?

Sketchcards only have the artists' autographs and a shot of Boba telling you congrats.

Not sure where they will be available. Sent Jason an email to see if her was going to, and also asked Discount Comic Book Service(DCBService.com). I'll check with Comics and Collectibles and Tennessee Card Company. If I hear anything I'll let you know. I get a box when they come out, but I want to order one or two extra.

Thanks, they've been fun and I've been wanting to work on a Star Wars set for years!

Waiting to hear back on the final approval of everything. I got the Topps okey-dokey now waiting for the final LFL thumbs up. Looking forward to getting my boxes in and seeing what the 3-D cards look like and which sketchcards I pull. Hoping to hear back about any new card gigs. I can keep myself busy for the next few weeks, but wouldn't mind another this summer and/or fall. Just got to make sure to get the paintings for my October show done, too. Luckily I only have to do 6-8 of them and they can be B/W.

The sets are on sale now, and some of Lin's cards have started hitting the secondary market. The first card to see was an AT-AT driver helmet, and it sold for $200.

Hope we can sell his artist returns for that amount or more. We got a wedding to pay for.
