Soo what does anyone think of the last few seconds? Alive or dead of certain character. It is as left open ended as we seen many characters survive. Will Dave Filoni use this to tease more for years, lol.

Considering the number of lightsaber stabs that proved ineffective in the past, be it the Grand Inquisitor, Reva or Sabine, I say alive unless stated otherwise.

I’m content with how open ended that was. You can’t rob me of Barriss surviving mwhahaha.

Mi favorite part was when Barriss removed her mask to reveal Kino Loy underneath, who then removed his mask to reveal Snoke.

Yess exactly. Barriss Offee and her girlfriend Lyn goes on and walk their path. And seeing as Barris Offee looked mutch older i guess this was during last few seasons of Rebels to the OT. I hope they join a hidden Path show in future and maybe Barriss Offee meets her old friend Ahsoka Tano that she probably mentioned in the episode to the family.

I like to think that after Barriss abandoned the Inquistrious, she went out of her way to find Ahsoka to personally apologize for everything she has done to her friend. Honestly, I doubt she could be that peaceful and calm without amending the rift between their close friendship.

This was pretty good. Do wonder when it is set, might even be after Episode 4 with how visibly Barriss has aged. Her working with Ahsoka and or the Path seems fitting. This one was also the prettiest of the Barriss episode. Really liked the visuals of the planet. Barriss turning an Inquisitor to the light was pretty cool and she seems like the ideal person to do this. Wonder whether she survived this and whether we'll see her and/or Lyn in future material.

    9/10 from me.

I think she's dead. She was far from any advanced medical treatments: people on this planet came to her to be healed. Lyn wasn't exactly quick to escape the caves, and Barriss seemed resigned to her fate even before the duel started. But, who knows with Star Wars. I'm sure they ended it the way it did so her fate would be open to discussion.

I wanted to see a similar story with Barriss that we got with Morgan: someone who embraces evil. This is 'Tales of the Empire,' not 'Tales of the Jedi.' I wasn't interested in seeing yet another story of a dark side user being redeemed. Barriss is much more interesting to me as a bad guy. And Lyn? Someone so evil, who has embraced the dark side, slaughtered entire villages, turns to the light too? Come on. We've seen this enough. Is Sidious the only true Bad Guy Dark Side User in the entire galaxy?

Barriss Offee was always a light side user. And star wars is about redemption. Darth Vader did soo mutch worse

Yes, Vader did worse, and was redeemed. Kylo Ren did worse, and was redeemed. I've seen the redemption story arc before. I suppose I expected something different in Tales of the Empire.

Morgan was not redeemed in her arc. That's what I hoped to see in Barriss Offee's arc too. Another, nameless Jedi turned Inquisitor could have stood in for Barriss in these episodes and I would have been happier. Perhaps that poor fellow who left the prison cell and had an 'accident' or the other fellow Barriss Force-choked. Actually, Marrok would have been a great choice to star in this story. It could have connected to Morgan's three episodes and tied into both of their appearances in the Ahsoka series.

Barriss bombed the Temple and killed people. She rejected the Jedi. She Force-choked and killed a competitor to take her place among the Inquisitors. She probably did a whole lot of other things off camera during her stint as an Inquisitor and those are the stories I wanted to see, not her as an aged hermit healer on a backwater who blanched at the atrocities of the Order she joined, again.

As I mentioned in the final episode thread of the Morgan arc, I'm consolidating my review into the last episode arc thread for Barriss.

This was really the story that I was anxious about and it certainly didn't disappoint. What happened with Barriss was a guess to everyone. You see her in prison just as Order 66 is going about; yet another perspective, albeit from a distance. I don't recall who Lynn (sp) was to her or the Jedi for that matter, but obviously she plays a significant role in the story. Bariss gets the Inquisitor treatment, and when forced to fight her fellow recruit uses the Force choke on him; reflective of what she did during the framing of Ahsoka. She confronts Vadar of course, but I thought it was a tad strange that he couldn't sense or remember who she was; it wasn't that long ago after all. While the notion of her becoming an Inquisitor wasn't all that farfetched, her true feelings made sense to the outcome of the story. She hated the Jedi's warlike agenda, but deep inside she was still a decent person. Her going around slaughtering innocent people wouldn't have made sense no matter how much brainwashing they could force on her. Obviously she lived on her own inconspicuous until Lynn showed up for the child. It was a slightly vague ending; as we know now, getting impaled by a saber isn't as lethal as it used to be. Frankly, I hope that does give hope that she survives and appears in another venue at some point. The family was being sent to an "old friend" of Bariss'. Sure that could mean any number of Jedi survivors, but there's really only one who seemed to habe taken it upon herself to protect the Force sensitive children. And she was a pretty good friend of Bariss'; once upon a time. It only stinks that a reunion would've happened off-screen; similar to that other ex-Jedi meeting Luke for the first time.

These episodes definitely felt like fan service in terms of Barris getting redeemed. I think it’s because a lot of people were upset at how they turned her into a villain out of the blue in TCW and they were trying to make up for that.

The trouble is it seemed out of the blue that after bombing the temple she suddenly likes the Jedi again. Also she seemed to have a little too much faith left for the Jedi and the now turned Republic especially when she thought the Empire were bluffing and wouldn’t kill her and her opponent if they refused to fight.

Don’t get me wrong I still enjoyed and love these episodes, the action, variety and dark tone was amazing. I just don’t think they’ve ever written/developed Barris very well, the absence of Luminara doesn’t really help matters either.

These episodes did a great job of fleshing out the 4th sister, they made her really savage and menacing, it’s a shame she didn’t do more in the Kenobi series, but at least Tales of the Empire corrected that.

That ending was far too abrupt. Like I get they are going to use Barriss again in the future, but what was that? Even as a cliffhanger it was pretty poorly executed. What would have been a 10/10 is reduced to a 7/10 for that ooor ending

I don’t have especially strong feelings for Barriss or the Inquisitorious, but the ending with Lynn, the voice acting, the music, the beautiful scenery etc all managed to work for me in that moment. One of the more beautiful scenes in Star Wars animation.

Barriss's story was pretty good but I don't like the fact that they ended her story here on a cliffhanger when she had had a cliffhanger ending going on already for over a decade.

Really just not very good storytelling. Either kill her off or make it a 100% clear that she is going to be ok. People that waited over a decade to get a conclusion to her story didn't want an entirely new cliffhanger.
