The new animation upgrade for Quinlan Vos and make him look like a native Indian jedi is great. And the idea of love saving Assajj Ventress intresting?

I really liked the first episode. Think that her rebirth was well handled. Loved the look of that opening scene

Very happy that they are following up on the Dark Disciple. Too bad we're never getting those 8 episodes in animated format.

    This episode was fantastic.

Loved the action in this, and seeing how quickly a quiet life could get upturned. Ventress showing Lyco how a proper Mind Trick worked was a lot of fun, and her giving him a boost aboard the departing ship reminded me of the Ahsoka finale, in a good way. It's like poetry, it rhymes.

That was wonderful, and worked as a great foil of “fun Star Wars” to Andor’s excellent subtle/slower “prestige Star Wars”. This makes me hope that future release schedules might continue to pair “fun” shows with “prestige” shows, as there is absolutely room for both in this universe.

Honestly I feel like just comparing Obi-Wan's model to his normal self in TCW shows how far the animation has come.
Absolutely lightyears away from where it started.

Never read Dark Disciple, not a fan of Vos, but I like the way they did address her death, and it wasn't akin to Maul showing up on another planet as half spider.

It's mostly the creases in his tunic that got me hyped.
It was like he was actually wearing clothes.

Quinlen looked cool too don't get me wrong, but we have a grand total of one episode to compare him to. (Two technically but it was the same model).

    Obi-Wan has got an evolution.

Native American is probably better term for ethnicity.

Magicks was quite a cheap plot device for saving her, but it had sorta mythological tone, she would die if her greatest desire, her love for Quinlan would be fulfilled. Witches are mystically tied to water of life and Force Energy they collect so okay it can return life to dead body but has a price. They went that direction before so it's not surprising really.

It is just very confusing to most viewers who haven't read the book. I haven't but I know what happens in it. Just like Maul's return in Solo or Cad Bane in BOBF it's going to be very confusing to most viewers how Ventress is dead and her relationship to Quinlan too... it's only in book.

What's up with "They/Them" pronoun again when referring to singular fugitive jedi? Who looks pretty typical male human so it seems unnatural he would be referred to "them" by random people...

I didn't notice the they/them but they did that in Tales of the Empire with another random Jedi survivor though he was clearly a man.
