San Diego, CA Toys R Us Morena Store Midnight Madness Info!

The other thread is getting too long, here is the info for those going to the Morena Toys R Us tonight!


1240 W. Morena Blvd. San Diego CA 92110

Starting at 6pm you may begin arriving, if you don't see me (Linda) on site, ask for the managers Chase and Jason. They are providing a table and chairs for us outside, and are providing a place inside the store for us to suit up. I will also have some pens to hand out with our website on them. I will be bringing some Star Wars items and tickets to be given to everyone in line. Prior to 11pm I will begin drawing numbers and handing out the prizes. If anyone has some prizes to donate, that would be great. James has contacted the news media so be prepared for that. If you could all mention the www.SanDiegoStarWars.com website whenever you are interviewed, that would be great as we could potentially get some new members out of this. This is a combined Fanforce/501st/Rebel Legion event.

Please post below if you are going in costume, and what costume you will be wearing. My cell phone is 619 -200-3756 if you need to contact me. If not in costume, you could still help out at the table, hand out tickets for the prizes, spot for those of us in armor, and take pictures.

Thanks guys! This is going to be fun! I've got about 5 stormtroopers (myself included) coming tonight, and perhaps a bounty hunter.

 

I'll be coming in Jedi robes, maybe around 8 p.m. or so. I do NOT want to be interviewed on television though. Just to let you know in advance .

I am actually going to Morena and I'll have my DV and still cams with me to take video.

Myself and a new member (John) are bringing the Star Wars toys for a giveaway, I just got off the phone with one of the managers, and the store is going to pitch in with some really nice give-aways such as some 12" figures and perhaps one of the talking Darth Vader heads. Woo Hoo! This is going to be fun guys! See you soon!

The store will also be providing us with snacks and drinks.

 

I'll be there @ 8:30PM in Armour(Stormtrooper). I'll bring a few SW "toys" to donate for the raffle.

Won't be coming in costume, but I'm bringing a digital projector, laptop, and small sound system so we can watch ANH on the wall of the TRU! Am also bringing four of my parks sabers. Will be arriving there about 10pm.

My car decided to blow out my back tire on the way to Escondido. And you know, sitting on the side of the freeway, calling my dad, and trying not to panic is just so much more fun than being at TRU.
