Trailer for Heroes fanfilm, "A Deafening Silence"

Last spring, EonKarr and I entered our last semester of college. We had worked on films together before - notably, Darth Moby: Hunt for the White Sith and Red Letter Day.

Well, we couldn't let the last semester pass us by without doing anything, so he drew up a script and one cold March weekend with the help of StoyBoy720 we filmed A Deafening Silence, a Heroes fanfilm.

With other projects on our plate and the abrupt shift into real life delaying post-production, we're finally able to be confident that when we say, "Coming 2009", we mean sooner rather than later. Have a look at the official trailer, followed by some stills and production shots! We'll be keeping this thread updated as release comes closer.

I wouldn't complain, but now I have some content to add to my website.

Nitpick: Vimeo page says we filmed in '07, when we filmed March '08. Not a huge deal, just wanted to mention.

 

I was so close to being angry! I was working on a Heroes fanfilm! But good thing it seems like you are going down a completely different path than I would be going. Whew! There would have been some fighting words. Good luck with yours!

 

I like it. You need to straighten your tie... but I'm looking forward to it.

As one of the very few Heroes fan films out there (I've never really seen any), this could have potential, but this trailer really didn't impress me. Except for the end with the title, which was very well done, nothing in here felt like the show at all. While it's only a small glimpse, the acting in this trailer wasn't very good and none of the sequences in this looked particularly exciting. I hope I'm wrong and this turns out to be great, because I'd love to see a decent Heroes fan film, but so far this does nothing at all for me. Sorry.

 

I must agree with danyoda.

 

As a teaser, I dig the premise. I immediately went "Ooo, Siryn powers!", just as I always compared the Heroes characters to X-Men or the like (tho let's face it, usually X-Men).

I didn't see anything too fancy cinematography-wise, but knowing you guys, I'm sure I'll get into the story.
