I couldn't find a good source for this info. Does anyone have/did anyone interpolate the measurements for the training lightsaber prop in AOTC?

    http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Training_lightsaber

I would prefer this to the real sabers because 1) you can rotate your wrist, 1- or 2- handed, without breaking it and 2) it's meant for younglings, whereas if you remember Lucas was "adamant" that adult lightsabers weighed "forty pounds".

I've got a source, but it's reeeeal piece o' crap. In the Ep2 visual dictionary, in the Yoda section, there's a pic of a training lightsaber...but the proportion is all wrong. It's obviously not the style most commonly used in the movie. Also, it's too obviously a half of maul's lightsaber, spraypainted with gold.

    Update: non-crappy source found:

    http://www.thelightsaber.com/Histories/historyA.htm#ToJediTraining

It's the one on the right. I'm not sure what his source is yet, or whether anything can be extrapolated.

The training lightsaber props used in Episode 2 were made from Episode 1 toys !
The lightsaber that looks like Qui-Gon's is from a play set/game with Qui-Gon's lightsaber and a probe droid.
The one that looks like Maul's painted-up is mostly that - made from a Maul saber toy and a few extra bits and pieces and paint. Here is a great tutorial!
