Tron + OCP + Skynet + The Matrix?

So I'm sitting here watching the Matrix Trilogy, and it just suddenly dawned on me about how Tron, Robocop, Terminator, and the Matrix all have to do with machines taking over, and humans living in a computer world.

So here's something to ponder...might they all be connected somehow?

Think about it.

The MCP in Tron is formed, acquiring more programs unto itself in order to ultimately run the entire world, with humans here in the physical world to do its bidding. It is thwarted by a human that is drawn into the computer world and reduced to an ancient chess program.

Decades later, OCP seeks to create the first cyborg to battle crime and yet sidestep more human needs, such as fair labor, wages, health care, a 6000 SUX, etc. Man seeks to go beyond his own physical needs by merging with machines.

Enter John Connor, who revolts against machines taking over for humans and leads an uprising against the machines. The machines fight back by creating an even more powerful cyborg called the Terminator.

And thus we have The Matrix, where machines have dominion over mankind, forcing them to live in a computer, generated fantasy world, using them for power and heat.

Or maybe I'm just still suffering from fevered delusions from the fru here...

Edit: I'm also curious to know if the Deus Ex Machina is a reincarnated version of the MCP.

Hot Cylon Chicks are enemies of the Colonials who have yet to find earth...thus its not readily known what time period they will come to earth at (at what stage of technological evolution humanity has achieved) and how that would factor into Darrkwolff's related franchise theory.

That's because Tron, OCP, Skynet, and the Matrix are American creations. Screwing up the future is OUR job.

 

Robocop is one of my fav. cheesy scifi movies.
