Turns out that real Mexican food sucks

and Americans, as in non-Mexican people, have actually made it a lot better, not to mention healthier.

Have you ever been to a Mexican restaurant owned by Mexicans or for that matter seen a Mexican street vendor selling Mexican food?

It's all crap!

Taco Bell for example. Infinitely better than any so-called authentic or real Mexican food that's laden with grease and enough crap to clog a Rhino. Same for Del Taco, Mexican food at Jack in the Box, hell even frozen Mexican dinners are better.

Provided they aren't actually made in Mexico.

 

I like authentic Mexican/Tex-Mex food, not the fast food crap.

Seconded. And the commercial stuff like Taco Bell etc is BLAND, BLAND, BORING and BLAND.

 

You don't use enough of those hot sauce packets.

 

I don't know where you got your mexican food from but I grew two hours away from Mexico and that's some of the best food i've had.

Ummm... no. The ones here in Houston... that's some of the best food we have here. The hole in the wall mexican food places where no one speaks english and the tortilla's are made on the spot. Mmmmm... fresh homemade salsa.

Dude, even the worst taco shops here in San Diego are better than fast food.

Come to San Diego for a day and experience REAL Mexican food.

 

Why would anyone eat real Mexican food? I mean, if you go to Mexico, aren't you supposed to bring all your food and water with you so you don't get some dreadful disease? That doesn't make their cuisine sound very appealing. And many of the people working at a real Mexican restaurant are probably illegal immigrants. If you can't trust them to use legal labor, how can you trust them to use legal meat? They might be putting something they found dead on the side of the road in the burritos. At Taco Bell, at least I know I'm getting high quality, safe ingredients. And their menu has a wonderful consistency to it; I can order anything there and I know it'll taste like everything else there, which is to say, awesome. It makes decision-making really easy, and that's an asset in the fast-paced culture of today.

Agreed. A few years ago there was an "authentic" mexican restaurant in my town. The food was sub-par to say the least. Everything was dripping with grease and they melted some kind of funky cheese over the tacos.

I'll take Taco Bell over that any day.

 

Yep, between Texas and California, you can't go wrong. Taco Bell sucks, so does Taco Cabana and any other fast food Mexican chain.

 

What the hell? I'll take food from a taco van over some greasy crap from a fast food chain any day. I'm not saying all authentic mexican restaurants are great, it depends what region of mexico the menu is from,just last night I went to one in town, and it not that good. There are also a fair amount of Mexican restaurants in Illinois, and they're pretty good too.

 

LMM, you simply need to eat at home for the rest of your life. Your constant griping about food shows that you are just a spoiled, picky eater who is impossible to satisfy.
