If this is the wrong place, please direct me where to go.

I tried to install these two oldies on my computer recently.

They were made for Windows 95, and I have XP Pro at home.

I ran the compatibility mode thingy, and I actually got both games to install and run, but when they start up, my mouse cursor doesn't seem to want to appear. The only way I can get out of these is to Ctrl+Alt+Delete.

I was wondering if anybody has managed to get these oldies to run on their coms, or has any advice for me to get them running on XP Pro.

    Thanks.

    Sweet thanks.

I assume by you calibrating the joystick, you mean I could possibly do the same thing with my mouse?

Anyone ever play the Original title? Mean Streets? I'd love to find a copy of it.

honestly i dont know if a mouse will work, but its worth a shot. i mean, does the game need a joystick?
if it doesnt, the mouse should work fine.

No, it does not need a joystick.

But, when I run the game, the mouse cursor doesn't show up, and I'm out of ideas.

Sounds like they were made for DOS, but run in a DOS shell in Win95.

    Hang on a second...

    Yeah, look here.

    And here and here.

Almost any DOS game can work in XP given the right tweaks. Dark Forces is easy enough...
