Moncton has the second best water treatment plant in the world. Pretty cool eh

    Useless fact # 2

Moncton has the dryest air in the Maritimes.

Well, I'm pretty sure we're the Static Electricity Capital of the country. How many times a day do you get shocked getting out of your car, by touching the door?

I've also heard that we have the worst drivers in NB, and since NB has the worst drivers in Canada... you figure it out.

Uh, my granddad co-founded the Moncton Food Bank. Although I think he did it just so he wouldn't have to pay for food now that he's an old man. :p

"The name was changed to Monckton in honour of Lieutenant Colonel Robert Monckton, who captured Fort Beauséjour in 1755, marking the start of the Deportation. In 1876, a copyist working at the provincial legislature inadvertently dropped the "k" in Monckton. After that incident, the community assumed its own identity."

It really wouldn't surprise me if we had the worst drivers in the country.

Well, they call Moncton the "Hub City" for a reason... people from all over the Maritimes come here to shop, most of them from rural areas. Add to that visitors who don't know our confusing roads, and a healthy dose of jerks... you've got Moncton traffic.

I thought "Hub City" had something to do with railrays and trains?

I think it's like a hundred thousand or something like that.

A Moncton sign? Like a street sign?

Ah, so Moncton is about the size of my town area. I originally thought Canadian towns were nothing more than a tradepost in a small fort with a few Frenchmen and Native Americans selling beaver pelts and canoes. Wow, I was wrong... :p

    Cool.

I'd almost don't want to see one. Meeting one on the highway would be freaky.
