Vampires versus Werewolves? Each have a variety of cool designs and types, as well as some common tropes of curses when elements of tragedy are sometimes injected in, instead of just always being outright horror villains/monsters. The curse of having to kill humans and drink blood to survive, but survive for a long time... The curse of being transformed and losing your mind on a regular basis...
Vampires get to live all manner of sophisticated nightlife and sleep in caskets, while the lycanthropes get ticks and fleas after all their nice clothes rip off.
I vote Werewolves. They look cooler and less creepy, and if you became one you could theoretically still lead a normal life most of each month and just barricade yourself for a couple nights. And hopefully less blood.
I don't like either, but if I have to choose that van helping movie had the redhead vampire soo......
I'd go with vampires, but if you asked her, she'd likely be somewhat indifferent now for obvious reasons.
I've never really been that into vampire or werewolf shows/movies. Probably because it's much harder to turn that into a people vs people conflict than it is for zombies. Werewolf or vampires are good for a standard monster movie though but that's never been my thing. Much more into psychological horror.
Twilight has given us the definitive answer to this question. I think I'd rather be a vampire. Werewolves always seem to die at the end of the movie.
It's pretty easy to have a schedule that doesn't need you outside during the day. Night shift at a hospital, and that'll get you access to blood. Bam.
Werewolves are not inherently an abomination so they are the obvious choice. Their origin story is also not completely stupid. Also, you can get around the werewolf thing with sabbaticals, which in any case recapitulates the idea of having to go back to one’s basics. Whereas vampires constantly murdering people and completely avoiding the daylight in all circumstances isn’t really tenable.
It wasn't a a vampire I saw with a Chinese menu in his hand Walking through the streets of SoHo in the rain
There's an Asian pop answer to this. There's a Kpop group called Enhypen whose concept is that they're vampires And in that video are members of a Jpop group, &Team, as their werewolf rivals Obviously your decision should be made based on this.
The first one (Werewolves of London) is the only one I've ever heard of, and the only one with an actual....tune.
Whatever man: And of course the obligatory “black metal cassette-only demo album that had like 300 copies made but somehow it’s well known in the scene???”
You could've just posted the Blue Oyster Cult song and the point would've been made; but the others (like the other werewolf songs besides Hungry Like a Wolf) don't sound like real music to me.
