I have in my collection the DVD version of "Attack of the Clones" that was slightly altered from its original theatrical version, but I would like to know if the VHS version of the film contains these changes because I am trying to collect as many different versions of the "Star Wars" films as I can and also, the DVD version of "The Phantom Menace" was slightly altered but its VHS version did not contain any of these changes.

Please refrain from posting thread titles in all caps. Thanks. :)

I would assume that the VHS version of AOTC looks exactly like the DVD version. The TPM DVD, if you'll recall, was released months after the release of the VHS, allowing Lucas the time to decide on some alterations. Since the AOTC VHS and DVD were released on the same day, one would assume that alterations were concieved and put into effect on both.

Why don?t you just watch the DVD version and the VHS version side by side and see for yourself?

Apparently, he only wants to purchase the AOTC VHS if no changes have been made.

The only change is the fact that it's still Pan and Scan like any other VHS. Though I have the DVD, I may still pick it up for under 2 bucks.

Where are you going to find it for under $2?

When I did my X-Mas shopping at FYE. I could have sworn I saw it at FYE for $2 - $4. I know I saw TPM for sure.

I was disappointed that they didn't give the same VHS treatment to AOTC that they did to TPM. Widescreen Collector's Set with Art of TPM excerpt and 6 slides of film reel. Blame that one on the popularity of DVD, which I love so much.
