Amph Waiting For Superman: Gunnverse DCU/Elseworlds (New Trailer!)

I don’t think Christians bales or Robert Pattinson Batman is going to be part of the DC extended universe.

 

More recently, Snyder said "Never say never." No one's saying James Gunn shouldn't do his own Suicide Squad movie for instance, but it's a multiverse, so why can't Snyder finish his 5-part story at the same time and then leave like he intended to? There's clearly an audience for it.

This release has been a massive success, critics like it, audiences love it, WB would be insane not to do at least something else with an already established fanbase.

But, WB isn't known for making rational decisions.

Ya, I actually do think that was one of their coolest ideas. Big fan of both portrayals.

 

One thing I want out of the Flash movie is to work in the Crisis on Infinite Earths cameo somehow. "It looks safe!" DCEU Flash did mention "I told Victor this would work!" and WB said they aren't using Ray Fisher as Cyborg in the movie though.

 

WB used a vaudeville hook to pull Snyder off stage. He didn’t give up the spot light of his own volition. WB panicked as they saw the movie Snyder was making and abandoned ship in an attempt to cut losses and save their shared universe DC film series. WB thought Snyder was making an all capital letters and three exclamation points DISASTER!!! But Joss Wheadon’s Justine League only succeeded in making it a lower case with one period disaster. it was still the end of the DCU as set up since Man of Steel.

Now that the future of the shared DC Snyder-verse is over - it was okay to let Snyder come back and finish his magnum opus as intended. It’s more about completing unfinished business. Coming back one more time than giving up the stage. No doubt Nolan could have thrown his weight in to make this happen.

I’m glad we got the Snyder cut. And I think Snyder gets a his career back after this. He made a complicated movie that works in parts and doesn’t work in others. But what is successful is how clearly this film is Snyder’s artistic vision.

 

Zack Snyder's Justice League was a really enjoyable watch for me. The additional details and backstory for many of the characters in particular is terrific. I'll definitely be rewatching it again soon. It is a very good film and one of my favorite superhero pictures now.

Due to my schedule, I ended up watching it in 4 smaller segments throughout the day and evening on Saturday but I'm going to try to watch it in one sitting next time.

I'm curious as to how other people watched it, whether all at once or with some breaks.

 

I took a break after Part 3, treated it as an intermission. Other than that though I was on the couch all afternoon!

 

Nah. You need the older Batman Keaton brings. It’s like Kevin Conroy appearing in Crisis. Now, if you want to give those scenes to Kevin, I wouldn’t object but it would be a bit odd and would not be the draw Keaton is.

The only other way to get people that excited would be to get Bale back.

 

Michael Keatons Batman returning is my main hope to go see these DC movies again.

 

About ten minutes after he said the Snyder cut was his final DC project, he announced the Snyder cut of the Snyder cut with all-new material, now in stunning black & white which is going to be the new "definitive experience" or something. I just don't believe a ******* word he says about anything anymore. The Snyder cut was supposed to be the definitive Justice League and also his final project for the DCU.

It was out for less than a week when he announced his next project for the DCU which happens to be an even more definitive Snyder cut than the current Snyder cut. I'm over it. Forget the Joker; Zack Snyder is the perpetually suffering Messianic clown at the heart of this franchise.

 

It’ll be hard to do a ZSJL follow up when half the league (Afleck, Fisher & Cavil) are essentially gone.

 

Good. In the words of Snyder’s Superman: “Bury it.”

 

The sooner WB can move on from Snyder and his fans hijacking DC characters the sooner I can maybe start to love these characters again. Till that time, I'll be in the corner ignoring the trash.

If WB likes the cash money they got from Snyder Cut on HBOMAX they'd fork over for more. But the party line from WB is that Snyder got to "complete his trilogy"

With the Snyder cut released, it seems certain fans of Star wars and Suicicde Squad wants to make amovement of thier supposed cut. I liked the movie, but this is this is the start of the worst impulsive of the fandoms.

 

Hopefully it's not too impulsive to bring this up as it is related topically, but it is still incredibly lame that the SW OOT cuts, or as close as are available, aren't included on a SW blu ray release at least as an option for fans.

Like how Spielberg released a Close Encounters blu ray boxset that has all 3 versions of the film, which is so awesome to have and watch and compare.

And I've also got Star Trek: TOS Season 1 on blu ray that comes with both versions of the series, the original and visually enhanced versions on the same discs. Ironically, I prefer to watch the updated versions of Star Trek. But having the OOT available on blu ray doesn't seem an unreasonable request.

 

I don't know what fans are wanting in terms of Star Wars or Suicide Squad cuts, but this seems like a unique situation: ZS was hired to do JL. He shoots his vision and has to leave to tend to family matters. The studio decides that the movie needs to be lighter and less dark in tone in response to how BvS performed. They bring in Whedon to finish it and stuff is added that makes no sense and therefore JL also performs badly. For some reason, WB gets ZS back, gives him a whole bunch of money and leverages his cut to sell HBO Max subscriptions.
