@Ramza is here to explain all, in his capacity as forum Nostradamus. :)
I don't remember, but seems legit.

Everyone left from the previous DCCU will get the axe after their movies have all been released and recouped some costs. It would be commercial suicide for them to announce it now.

Okay, so I'm going to give my "diehard fan" reaction to each of the titles (sans the two series Safran described as an 'amuse-bouche' before the DCU properly kicks off; Gunn said the canon locks in at Superman and everything prior is flexible to be erased or viewed as a "rough history" until that point), with some personal anecdotes about why I feel certain ways about a couple of projects.

    Superman: Legacy
Everything Gunn and Safran have said about their perception of Superman as a character matches with how I view him. They're citing classics like All-Star Superman, which is a wonderful start, and Gunn's comment of, "His greatest weakness is that he'll never kill anybody. He doesn't want to hurt a living soul," is the clearest demarcation between this and the DCEU's complete and total misunderstanding of who he is.

    Lanterns
So there are two versions of the Green Lantern Corps. There's the big space opera version, and there's the weird procedural space cop version. I prefer the latter, and it looks like that's what we're getting. A True Detective-inspired mystery thriller where Hal Jordan and John Stewart are beat cops from space? Sign me the **** up.

    The Authority
I always liked merging these characters into the DC Universe post-Flashpoint, so it's kind of neat to see them baked into the fabric of the DCU early on. Apart from the comics themselves being great, they offer a really potent counterpoint to the idiotic critiques of "if Superman is all good and all powerful, why doesn't he just topple corrupt governments and solve evil around the world?" by showing what happens when you actually try to do that.

    Paradise Lost
This came a bit out of left-field, but I think it's a great idea. The Amazons and Themyscira have such a rich, complex history, and they're at their most interesting when stories will with the internal dynamics and unique moral dilemmas of an all-woman society. I also think we're getting the slightly sordid backstory of the Amazons before the DCU Wonder Woman so that when she is introduced, we see that she turned out the way she did in spite of her upbringing as because of it.

    The Brave and the Bold
When this was announced I spit out a mouthful of hot noodle soup and a guy sitting near me chuckled and asked, "Spicy, eh?" I love Robin. I love the whole Batfamily. Beyond that, I have such a strong affection for Grant Morrison's tenure writing the main Batman books. The very first comic I picked up, which started a monthly habit that's lasted the duration of my life, was Batman #655 back in 2006. That was Morrison's first issue, the beginning of the "Batman & Son" story that introduced Damian. I've always had a fondness for the character because of that, and Morrison's Batman is what I imagine when I picture a Batman that's as steeped in weird, macabre, trippy superhero stories as it is in gritty, street-level crime. Morrison once described their Batman & Robin as "being a mix of the '60s Adam West TV show and David Lynch", and that's exactly what I'm looking for.

    Booster Gold
I love this loser. He's such a ****ing mediocrity, and that's what makes him lovable. I think he's frankly one of those characters that gain relevance as people become increasingly reliant on technology. I adore the "Bwah-ha-ha" era of Justice League, so I can only hope this is a prelude to a proper Blue & Gold team up down the line.

    Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow
I am a huge, huge huge Tom King fan. He's written some of my favourite comics of the best decade (he's also a really nice guy, I met him last summer) and Woman of Tomorrow ranks near the top of that pile. I actually just read this a few weeks ago, and it's one of the first times I'd fully considered how different Kara is from Clark. It's a really lovely story that's thrilling, thoughtful, and aching in all the right places.

    Swamp Thing
If they nail a gothic horror Swamp Thing that's even a small percentage as poetic as Moore's run, I'll melt into a puddle of swamp water.

There will come at the great fire stories -
The gods walk earth renewed in form.
    Kryton’s son and animal emissaries.
Obligatory Danube reference everyone wants to be about Hitler, as is the norm.

Potentially a stupid question: Is this new series announced by James Gunn in the same universe as the current DCEU, or is it a completely different continuity altogether? And if it's a completely different universe, how is Peacemaker S1 in the old DCEU but S2 in the new DCU? And is Waller the same Waller from the old DCEU?

I'm hopeful by the announcement, but... confused.

It’s a reboot so completely new continuity.

Good question. Who the hell knows? [face_dunno]:p

Maybe it’ll be like M in Casino Royale. Still played by Judi Dench but not the same M as before.

How could it not be? And man, I love to see it. It’s exactly right. The writing is the first thing. Get that right, and everything else follows.

So Blue Beetle and Aquaman 2 take place after the universe reset, but before DCU Chapter 1? That’s… interesting… are they like Chapter 0? Prologue?

Also, the Harley Quinn cartoon is missing from the elseworlds section.

I just saw it online and thought it looked cool as a summary. I don't think DC did it.

I don't know how to take this. Gal Godots wonder woman is supposed to be canon? Along with the Flash but, I don't know or what the heck do I know. What happens to the other movies like aquaman, shazam, black adam, do they get chucked? I am not really thrilled at all. If they said from 2025 everything would be canon and the only thing from DCCU that would be canon is Peacemaker then I can dig but grabbing here and there. It's more of the same thing for me.

I'm kind of amused that the way they "integrated" the The Batman film series was just to say that it wasn't integrated at all. I think that's what everyone would have assumed before they started making noise about it .

That may end up being what is canon going forward.

But WB can’t say that. If they say Flash doesn’t count and Aquaman doesn’t count now WB is terrified no one will see them.

Safest bet is assume this everything starts over with the new Superman except what Gunn already worked on.

It is a very sad comment that they expect more negative backlash from ruling something "not canon" than they do from the fact that the star of the Flash has been repeatedly and variably accused of assault, kidnapping, drug use, and sexual misconduct over the last year.

Do you think WB have Ezra locked up somewhere right now so he can’t get into trouble? What duplicitous things is WB doing to keep any additional past crimes from coming to light before The Flash’s release?

I want Robert Pattinson's obviously mentally ill, barely competent Bruce Wayne in the shared universe, dammit. Batman being kind of a doofus was one of the more interesting parts of that movie.

This whole thing is "meh." It's funny that they're yet again coming out with some master plan as though that sort of thing hasn't failed-- usually in spectacular fashion-- with literally every other non-MCU franchise that has tried it. Marvel has got that assembly line down in a way no one else has been able to match.
