Hey, If You know what I am talking about I am looking for the name of the song on the War of The Worlds trailer. It's when Tom Cruise yells Rachel and then the boat flips, and the tripods are scooping everyone up. I really like this song and it is perfect for a scene in my film. I bought the album but it is not on it. So if anyone can help and knows what song I am talkin about I would really appreciate some help. Thanx.

P.S. Specifically it's in War of The Worlds Trailer 3

Whats the track called on the LOTR Return of the King game, where you leave the game alone for a while and a sort of trailer/demo comes up. It's been used alot, not just on that game

    From the TOS:

And by telling people to PM them for something like a copyrighted music file it's kind of walking a fine line. Better safe than sorry. :D

    Hope that helps!

Just out of curiosity, MDogg777, why do you want it? You're not actually planning to USE it, are you?

You see, that music has already been locked into the "über-epic" genre.. and frankly, I can't imagine anyone on these forums creating anything even remotely worthy of that song. Any attempt to use it in your own trailer would be viewed as rather pathetic. By me, at any rate. It certainly isn't going to make your work "awesome" or "epic" if it wasn't already.

Harsh world. The newbies need to know that adding cool music to an amateur film trailer does not automatically raise it to the level of LOTR. People tried it with Two Towers trailer music, and failed miserably every time.

IMO LOTR is way overrated, not a bad movie, but not a classic.

"Whats the track called on the LOTR Return of the King game, where you leave the game alone for a while and a sort of trailer/demo comes up. It's been used alot, not just on that game"

A remixed edition of the theme from the film Requiem for a Dream.

No, not that, maybe I was thinking of the wrong one, or maybe you were.
All I know for definate is that its in the ROTK game demo
It's quite popular, I've heard it in other places. One from the top of my head is from ITV international football programme(I don't know what that would be in American terms, sorry)

    EDIT:
sorry, you posted that while I was writing my post. Any idea who it is by?

You're talking about the song that plays on the trailer for the ROTK game? And at the end for The Two Towers movie trailer?

It's Requiem for a Dream. Or an orchestrated version of it. I'm 100% positive.

    Oh lol sorry.

Well the original music comopsed for the film was by Clint Manstel (not sure on the spelling) and the Kronos Quartet. The one you heard in the LOTR trailers is a more epic version which might have been composed by Clint Manstel as well but I'm not sure.
