Have you ever looked at the warnings on mundane products? Some of these cover stuff that even the stupidest idiot would know better than to pull. I mean, come on! Anyone dumb enough to eat a battery is certainly illiterate, but the company puts warnings on the package anyway. I say that we could eliminate 99% of these without any harm whatsoever.

Quite true ... people are just looking for a way to get rich quick.

Edit: I wish the judges would just rule that common sense is enough warning in these cases.

Oh, and as for the hot coffee, It's supposed to be hot. Cold coffee is teh [face_sick].

I'm in favour of the warning labels. I bought an electronic device once that had a large plastic bag shaped thing covering it inside of the box. Once I got the product out, I became strangely amused by the plastic bag. I started to play with it. Eventually, I put it over my head and pinched it tight against my neck. Thankfully, I can read mirror images because I was about to black out when I saw the warning on my see-through, would be executioner. I'm here today because of those warning.

There was an email that was sent around a couple years ago with a bunch of stupid warnings. One was from a chainsaw, and it said "Do not attempt to stop blade with hands or testicles."

Well, my ex's best friend checked his chainsaw for the heck of it, and found that exact label.

The worst part is, you know that most of these warnings were spurred by some idiot doing exactly what the warning says now.

Uh, I think that means you don't have to use a bottle opener.
But then people would argue over what constitutes common sense.

Oh my goodness ... that's just messed. What kind of idiot would try to stop a CHAINSAW with their genitals? Even the most insane would be wary with such a graphic weapon anywhere near their crotch. I think I've found a new record for obvious warning levels.

Besides, bottle openers haven't been used for anything other than beer for decades.

It would be nice. Remove the safety labels and hopefully kill off most of the dumb and stupid before they can breed. It'll never happen though.

That's like the fourth time it's been posted in a thread that's shorter than a page.
