Discussions Was Taris ever successfully rebuilt by the Republic?

As many of you may know, in 3956 BBY, Malak's Sith fleet bombarded the planet of Taris, in an unsuccessful attempt to kill Jedi master Bastila Shan, as seen in KOTOR. Nearly the entire surface of Taris was composed of high-rises and skyscrapers, similar to Coruscant. Malak's fleet leveled all the buildings on the surface of Taris, leaving nothing there intact, and killing most of the population instantly (click link to watch bombardment destruction on YouTube). Taris then became a giant, uninhabited ruin.

The Republic took it upon themselves to fix the mess and rehabilitate the planet, as seen in KOTOR 2 and SWTOR. 300 years later, in 3643 BBY, it seems as if the Republic was trying to put some effort into rehabilitating the foliage-inhabited planet. After this, Taris seems to be little mentioned, and I could find no records on any site stating weather or not the planet was successfully rebuilt, or at least partially rebuilt.

Could someone tell me what was the ultimate fate of this planet, or at least where I could read about it?

If there is no apparent information, I would like to hear your theories as to what could have happened.

In one of the Legacy of the Force novels, Boba Fett is on a rebuilt Taris. It's basically a backwater version of Coruscant, even more so than it was in KOTOR times.

This provided I remember correctly. Been years since I read those novels.

EDIT: It's also just a cameo, nothing major by any means.
