    Are there any fellow X-Philes here?

    The X-Files was what really got me into sci-fi, five years ago. It was also one of the few shows that I would drop everything to watch. (Calling me during The X-Files = Bad idea.) 8-}

    I watched X-Files religiously from its humble beginnings, through its golden era, right until its mediocre final season. :cool:

    Best X-File moment:

    "Who's the black private dick who's a sex machine with all the chicks? Shaft! Can ya dig it? They say this cat shaft is a bad mutha Shut yo' mouth! Talkin' 'bout Shaft."

    "...I did not!"

    ;)

    Fellow X-Phile here. I have seasons one through seven on DVD. You should really watch them with surround sound. Hopefully they make another movie. There were some plans but I haven't heard anything in a while.

    I'm not sure if this is true, but I actually heard that David and Gillian really started hating each other near the end. Notice, they have a lot more chemistry when they kissed in the pseudo-crossover with Millenium (or the touching little ending to that one Christmas episode where they run into a couple of old ghosts in a haunted house) than they did in the final episode. If this is true, another movie is doubtful.

    I think they just got sick of each other, more than anything. They were tired of the grind of the show. It's why you don't see either of them running to do another full-time tv show anytime soon... give them a couple of years though.

    I love The X-Files- have seasons 1-6 on DVD :D I hope when they release season 9 that they include the few Lone Gunmen episodes with it. Those were classic :D

    You can say this isn't a BNL thread. I disagree.

    I am a major X-Phile! I even got to be an extra...does anyone remember "The Unnatural?" (its the baseball episode DD directed...) I got to be on it :D

    the show sort of lost it's touch when David left...It actually pained me to watch it...not even Scully could save it

    Dogget was good, but the show wasn't really the X-Files without Mulder and Scully, in the FBI, hunting down aliens, ghosts, and government coverups.

    Not even just that...the show lost it's edge...it's humor...it quickly fell into being a show about aliens....

    X-Files is a mighty cool show. In fact its really the only TV show that I ever have really liked a lot. My Grandma (who is also a big X-Files fan :p) just got season 7 and I have been getting the other seasons from my library. Great show best TV show EVER IMO.

    Watchin' X-Files with no lights on...

    That's the only way to watch it. ;) Except for that one episode with that doll that written by Stephen King or something. I had to turn the lights on for that one. Major freak-fest. I still get chills thinking about it. 8-} I really miss the show, although in a way it is good that they ended it, because I think the writers were running out of ideas.
