What are some other websites like GameFAQs that still exist in the more or less same form as they did back on the primitive world wide web?
A few movies still have their original websites up. Off the top of my head, I know Space Jam had been the original site until very recently. The original is still up but has been moved aside for the new movie. https://www.spacejam.com/1996/ Also the Heaven's Gate cult. https://www.heavensgate.com/
What ever happened to that art deco Coruscant menu part of the site? lol. You'd go up to a door, and enter and view part of that world. I also remember a huge banner graphic with Jake Loyd running on top of the clouds. wow. Those were the days.
I'm a Product-UX-Web Designer. I love looking at old sites. Just seeing the different UI patterns and crazy nonconformity is fun.
A Drive-In movie theater from my youth used their original Web 1.0 site until the late 2010s. I can’t tell if their updated replacement website is trying to recreate the original site out of tradition or if reusing 1990s graphics and layout required the least amount of work. Seeing how many menu options go to Under Construction pages - it’s least amount of work.
Patchmanmusic.com I own a few synthesizers that use breath controllers and have been visiting this website since I was a student. It hasn’t changed in all that time.
