Was recently struck by the sheer volume of people in the SWU with prosthetic body parts. Seems a fairly high number of folks. Has anyone attempted to compile some sort of list? I'm too lazy to look.

Just off the top of my head:

    Luke Skywalker
    Anakin Skywalker/ Darth Vader
    Nawara Ven
    Booster Terrik
    Lobot
    Grand Admiral Teshik
    Harrsk
    Bao Dur
    Empatojayos Brand
    Ton Phallan
    Cay Qel-Droma
    Derrik "Hobbie" Kilivan
    Baron Tagge
    Skorr
    Qerl
    General Grievous
    Morouth Doole
    Tremayne
    Aurra Sing
    Darth Malak
Nikkos Marr- I think he counts?
    Arden Lyn
    Narra
    Screed
That one Moff Guy who was involved in a plot to kill vader..... T-something.....

Would Malak's "jaw" really be considered a prosthetic? All it is is a hunk of metal.

Ooryl doesn't have a prosthetic. Being a Gand, he can regenerate his body parts. Though when he lost about half his arm, the New Republic docs were going to put one on, but that's when they found out about his regenerative capabilities. It's in X-Wing: Rogue Squadron.

Lol. Project Mindfield was one of Warlord Zsinj's pet project. It involved brainwashing people and planting a suggestion. They are given a trigger phrase which, when spoken, activates their planted suggestion. A planted agent aboard the Mon Remonda tells the Twilek pilot Tal'dira "Wedge Antilles hops on one transparisteel leg". That is the phrase that activates his planted suggestion, which is that he should kill Wedge Antilles..... Its in Either Wraith Squadron or Iron Fist or Solo Command, dont remember, but its Classic Aaron Allston.

Uggh.... I used the word Plant way too many times.....

I don't know when it happened. All I know is that it's a terrible thing that Wedge Antillies, supposed hero of the New Republic, could sink so low as to hop on one transparisteel leg. This is corruption of the lowest and most vile sort. There can only be one solution:

    Wedge Antillies must die.

    Precisely!!!

That and the Wookies dancing in the parlor, and the Ewoks up that Sullustan's nose..... Hehehe..... they were singing and having Ewok parties.... hhehehe....They were the three funniest moments in SW history imho, and they all happened in the same book!

Actually, if I recall correctly, the thing about Wedge as a code phrase was towards the end of the book just before the final battle with Znsji. That was when he went after Wedge to bring honor back to him.

As for funniest moments, I think the Wedge Purge tops those three by far. That and Hobbie's plan to for how they should kill Janson, Wedge's ordering Janson to shoot down the sun, Hobbie's accusing looks at Wedge for making him dress in drag, Tycho's comments about what it would take to get Janson to mature, and Hobbie's comments about wanting to destroy something with out all the "I'm so and so and now I shall kill you and gain honor" plesantries. Basically all of SoA.

    Jan Orrs, prosthetic hand no?

and the X-wing books were some of the most entertaining books I had ever read. The Wraiths were probably teh funniest group in SWU. When they were acting as pirates, and Wedge returns and asks a progress report, and they tell him:

    Face/Ton (I forget who now)
"We hit a local commercial exchange, made off with some credit chips and notes, and straffed the harbour. Did some nice damage to some pretty boats."

    Wedge:
"Let me get this straight, you robbed a bank?"

    (F/T):
    "You, it was fun too."

nothing captured my imagination and gave me a laugh as that scene right there.

Wouldn't "Piggy" the Gamorrean, from Wraith Squadron, be considered someone with a prosthetic (attached artifical voice box, that is)?
