    FACTS:
-Sith were not detected for 1000 years
-Sarlacc digest people alive for 1000 years
    -Sidious is really ugly

The Story that will answer a lot of questions:

Darth Plagueis and Darth Sidious, the last of the Sith Order, fled to Tattoine, with all the remaing Sith Lords being hunted down by Jedi Knights.

They fight a Jedi and kill him, but in the process both fall into the Sarlacc Pit!

While they are slowly digested, Plagueis uses the darkside of the Force to help keep him and his apprentice strong, and alive.

After nearly 1000 years they finally grow strong enough to escape. Plagueis is disappointed in his apprentice, and has grown strong in the knowledge and power of the darkside for 1000 years.

Before they leave Tattoine he creates a lifeform, by influencing midichlorians, in a slave he meets. Plagueis is exhausted from using so much power, and falls asleep.

Sidious had been developing a master plan, centuries in the making, while in the Sarlacc Pit. One he must do without his master. So while in his sleep, Sidious kills his master.

Sidious flees to nearby Naboo. It is peaceful, unsuspecting, and in the Republic. But before he does, he uses the dark side to mask his true appearance, which will last as long as he doesn't use the dark side too much.

He creates the identity of Palpatine, and grows very powerful in its government through mind tricks and bribery. He secretly forms ties with the Trade Federation. In just less than a decade he has become its Senator, and assures the election of a young, naive Queen he thinks he can easily manipulate...

So is this Cool, Weird, or Crazy ? ? ?

Pretty cool idea. While maybe it wouldnt be the official/canon explanation, it would do I guess alright in comics.

Except for the Sith creating Anakin, which I still believe to be on of the stupidest ideas ever thought of (right next to Palpatine/Sidious clones), it's great. :)

That was an original GL idea for ROTS which Palps tells Anakin he is the father, but it was removed since its just like the empire scene

Ehh, don't like it so much. I have a lot of respect for the theory--its clever. But I wouldn't want to see it actually happen.

That is an... interesting theory. Granted, it does answer some questions. But I don't find it very believable.

Umm...thats been proven. Palpatine did have clones:

To counter the dark side's consumption, Palpatine turned to a bizarre combination of technology and Sith magic. Palpatine used Spaarti cloning cylinders to create a store of younger bodies, and employed an ancient Sith technique to transfer his consciousness into a waiting clone. Thus, Palpatine could avoid death indefinitely -- as long as his supply of clones remained intact. He would change his form again and again, prolonging his life. Palpatine constructed a secret throne-world deep within the galaxy's core, on a shadowy world called Byss. Here, he kept his clones safe, protected by a loyal cadre of Dark Side Adepts.

If that Sarlaac thing is true, then this has to be:

I've got a better idea! Anakain actually joins the Sith because he was walking along Coruscant one day when he sees Mace Windu thrown out a window! Mace Windu's body smashes Anakain, and he has to be made mechanical by Sidious! Then he hates the jedi for squishing him, so he sends Darth Maul to kill them! After Qui-Gon dies, Darth Maul thinks he's job is done, not seeing Obi-Wan. Obi-Wan throws Darth Maul into the lava on Mustafar! Before dying, Maul does an order 66 move to elimanate all jedi! Unfortuanately Darth Vader has made a Death Star device and blows Coruscant up! Padme flees to Tatoine, then leaves Luke on the doorstep of Shmi! Suddenly she gets arrested to the senate for child neglect, and gets sends Leia off to a senator because she isnt alowed to have her anymore. Then Han Solo, a senator, objects. Angry, Jabba the Hutt throws him into a Sarlaac pit, and he dies. However, Chewy kills Boba Fett and uses the blaster gun to kill Jabba. Suddenly, Threepio in a brilliant ruse lands the Mellinium Falcon on top of Chewy. Chewy becomes furious and makes a bunch of droids and leads a Confederacy of Independant Systems assault on Threepio. Threepio transforms then into an ultra powerful lightsaber weilding R2D2! R2D2 destroys the CIS, and sets up an Empire. However Yoda accidently presses the self-destruct button on R2D2 and sets up the New Republic. Brilliant, eh?

Nice theory, but i doubt it would be ever considered canon.
