well, cannabilism is eating someone of your own species. since ewoks are not humans, i see a flaw in your question.

    1. As jedi_john said, cannibalism is eating your own species. No evidence of that.

    2. They were offer Han up for sacrifice, IIRC. And if they were going to eat him, that's not cannibalism. ;)

Basically what jedi_john said. If the Ewoks were to have one of their own tied to that stake, then yea...they would be cannibals. But the Ewoks attempting to barbecue a human is the same as us trying to do the same to a fish, a cow or whatever type of meat suites your fancy.

The Ewoks weren't eating other Ewoks, so they're not cannibals.

If only they were. They should have been sacrificing one of their own in the big party, it would have made things much happier. :)

The Ewoks WERE cannibals! They were going to eat Han, right? But what all of you are forgetting is that the Ewoks all had little humans inside the costumes! :p

    Right....

What I would like explained is how Artoo manages to untie himself before we see him being untied!

The Ewoks probably ate the other species on Endor as well,we have seen Mauraders,Dulok's, and Yuzzums one of which was sing in Jabba's palace in ROTJ, i could just picture them eating a Dulok.

These species were seen in the Ewok Cartoons and movies just in case anyone hasnt heard of them before now.

They also ate the Stormtroopers at the end of RotJ (we see empty stormtrooper helmets on the ground while strange meat is roasting).

Never mind the Ewoks, were the Rebels eating the 'strange meat' that is presumably filet of stormtrooper?

What they should of done was to shave ChewedTabacca before trying to cook him. What a terrible thought it is picturing Chewy's fur on fire.

Filet o' Jango Fett? Ugh! The ewoks were disgusting indeed. What was in those pipes anyway? Perhaps there were no spirits of Obi-Wan, Yoda and Anakin, it was a hallucination from the weed. The stormtrooper helmets had bong written all over them...

They probably ran out of brandy, but still wanted the taste of flambé.

Are we sure the Ewoks are NOT cannabals? They were going to eat Chewbacca. Now, before you say "Chewie is a different species" answer this. If a midget eats a 6foot man does it make him a cannable?

    Then they are too.

No. We often think of eating humans as being cannabals since we are that seem to exist in this galaxy aside from animals. But they probably were curious to taste these creatures they most likely never saw before.

    i imagine they have before.

wickette recognized the threat of the stormtrooper and they all know of the shield generator and that stormtroopers were obviously there. Paploo was trained to drive a speeder bike for crying out loud.

(forgive me if my ewok names are wrong)

    cannibal defition from dictionary.com

    1. A person who eats the flesh of other humans.

    2. An animal that feeds on others of its own kind.

the word cannibal is derived from a carribbean people. The name of their tribe was translated to Latin by Christopher Columbus during his accidental finding of the Americas. That is why it's mainly associated with humans. Although, people revised the meaning to say if something eats one of its own, it's cannibalistic
