    Firstly, what are such cards properly known as , as apparently there are many card types, an I don't know what to classify them as.

    I also get a red border card - which I assume is from series-2, as I recall they came out after the blue ones - but as I'm an amateur I wouldn't know the details.

    I got a dozen blue border cards from 1977 - but these I have NOT put up for sale.

    I would say the over arching way to title/classify them would be "Vintage Topps Star Wars card set". If you want to get more specific you could label them "trading" cards or "non-sports" cards, but "cards" (if not a complete set) or "card set" (if complete) is the better way to go. To get more specific, include the series # (there were five series total in the original Topps Star Wars run), and the border color to help distinguish. They were as follows;

    Series 1: Blue
    Series 2: Red
    Series 3: Yellow
    Series 4: Green
    Series 5: Orange

    If you have individual cards, each is numbered (each set contains 66 cards) and of course each is titled (example; card #41, series 1 blue border, is titled "Facing the deadly chasm").
