Was he dead by then or did Jabba just have him tucked away? And if he was raising a huttlet wouldn't that have made Jabba turn female?

I guess he left home when he came of age and perhaps went to Nal Hutta to live among his own.

But it takes 100 years for a hutt to fully mature into an adult.

I would assume/hope he is dead by then. In the Han Solo trilogy by Crispin Jabba dislikes the fact that his aunt or someone had a huttlet and it was bad for business. And now thanks to Clone Wars, he has a son of his own.

Yet another example of CW-3D revisionist history...
and it's NOT for the better.

Could be he didn't like his aunts huttlet because it reminded him that his own son was dead or he was jealous or whatever. It can be retconed to an extent.

    True...

But a little forethought could've prevented the NEED for another retcon.

Jabba's will claimed that he had no children as of 4 ABY - whether that meant he had no children that were not fully grown, or that Rotta was dead or disowned or whatever, we don't know. Of course, the will is probably a fake. Though it's referred to as "Jabba's true will and testament" in NEGtC, IU the Hutts declared it a fraud (though they would have had motives in doing so).

Hopefully Rotta will be dead before HST. Preferably by Jabba's own hand. Or at least in some way that makes Jabba hate children and get a bit tougher in that regard. That'd make HST make more sense after TCW. I wouldn't be surprised if he's killed off in TCW.

Fixed cause we have to get rid of them both, while they're young! Jabba was killing Jedi "kids" long before Luke was born, yeah?

Rotta hung out with his uncle Ziro and decided he wasn't Jabba's son after all.

Color me dumb, but almost I don't get it.
Are you saying that Rotta BECOMES Queen Jool?

    Yikes.

The Ru-Paul of the Hutt clans...
Maybe Shaq will Twitter about that too.

Jabba certainly shows no particular gratitude toward the Skywalker family in ROTJ.

Well Hutts are hermaphrodites anyway. If he identifies female, then, he identifies female.

I thought THE Hutts could change their sex much like the X'Ting on Cestus.

Yeah, the Hutts are hermaphrodites, but they can switch at will iirc.

Actually, I think Hutts are without dual gender, but are just considered female whilst pregnant - for obvious reasons.

They still be considered female during the whole weaning period if the HST is anything to go by. So in the Clone Wars Jabba should be considered to be a female.

I think DarthBoba is correct, in that Hutts can switch from male to female at will, but the majority tend to identify as one over the other. Seems to me that Jabba could identify as a male (as we see), but switch over to female to have his offspring, while still having his male personality. After all, I don't think the switch is always psychological in addition to physical, because that wouldn't make much sense.

Doesn't the NEGTAS say that Hutts that choose to identify as any single gender are often considered perverts and live as outcasts? I think they just don't have definite gender ever...

I think only female hutts have the pouches and secrete their equivalent of breast milk. And while their in female form they should at least be more in touch with their feminine side. Though if Jabba was in motherly mode that would explain why s/he found huttlets adorable in the Clone Wars yet disgusting by the Hutt Gambit, it's a personalty change.

That's an interesting point. Perhaps the Jabba we see in the PT and Clone Wars show is a more feminine Jabba, but that doesn't make him/her any less ruthless and powerful.
