What Do Gungans Eat? how about humans?

I always wondered what they ate?..more likely they ate seaweed and fish you'd think? right?..but if you see boss nass and his mouth size..it is at all possible that they ate Naboonian humans..maybe that is why they didnt get along..one clue to this is jar jar..eating that chicken on tattoine..it is apparent they have a heavy appetite..boss nass could swallow a human I can be for sure. most likely!

He was eating a clam when he first saw qui-gon (that came from the novel) but remember he said: Mesa day started pretty okey-day with a brisky-mornin munchin

 

There are a couple of clues in the Databank entry on Gungans at the Official Star Wars site. The article mentions shellfish, and notes that Gungans are omnivorous, so presumably they would eat local varieties of fish, vegetables and fruits (which would include seaweed, I would guess), and possibly insects. The book The Wildlife of Star Wars mentions that Gungans will kill and eat creatures called motts, which are medium-sized animals that look like a cross between a small hippo and a pig. (Pictured here) Based on that, I would imagine that Gungans would eat other types of meat as well. Certainly Jar Jar seemed inclined to consume pretty much anything edible that was put in front of him, or that didn't run away fast enough....

 

Sure, the Gungans have large mouths and teeth, but obviously these large and flat teeth don't look like those of a carnivorous species.
They seem more adapted to eat plants and seaweed rather than meat.

 

if ewoks have the propensity to eat humans then I am sure gungans would too.

 

Pretty sure they have some kind of amphibious diet...

What do Gungans eat? That's simple, human hearts and small children. Preferably babies.
