When I was little, I would get up like at 6:00 A.M. just to watch Saturday Morning Cartoons. They're just not there anymore. They show the same cartoons now that they show on Nick or the Disney Channel. I remember waiting all week just to watch cartoons like "Dungeons and Dragons," and other cartoons they would only show on Saturday. What's up with that? "Saved by the Bell" killed Saturday morning cartoons. I wish they would bring back "School House Rock," too.

I know what you mean. How I miss those days when I could wake up and watch an hour of old Looney Tunes. ANd I mean the classic stuff, not anything drawn in the last twenty years. Then, after that I'd turn on FOX and watch Ninja Turtles, Eek The Cat, Cro (awesome show...) and finish it off at 9:30 with the original Power Rangers. That completely my morning and I was free to go outside and continue on the adventures.

    Kids these days got screwed.

I guess I'll never out-grow cartoons. I'm in my late 20's and I still love watching them.

I miss those little mini-cartoon PSA's, I guess you could call them. Anybody remember... "Don't drown your food, in ketchup or mayo or goo..." Or ..."They're doing push-ups in Peoria, they're jogging in L.A..."

Or am I just an old fart?

Pffft...forget the original Power Rangers. I'm talking about a time when 3-2-1 Contact, Captain Kangaroo, and Vegetable Soup were still on the air. :p

Paploo, you got screwed...in my day we had cartoons from 6am straight thru til 12:30, classics like Smurfs, Pacman, Droids, Ewoks, D&D, Pole Position, Transformers, GI Joe, Voltron, old school like Fat Albert, Batman(70s), SuperFriends, etc
THAT was the golden age my friends :D

    Thank You Grand Admiral.

Don't forget those afternoon specials where they would show cartoon movies like "The Horse Who Played Centerfield."

No I didn't. There were tons of other shows that went on for many more hours. I chose to go outside and terrorize the neighborhood after Power Rangers. My next door neighbor and I got together at 10 every Saturday. My childhood kicked much ass.

    *looks at his age*

Nope, mine did. SW and E.T. among other things were first run at that time. So I got Droids and Ewoks as Sat morning cartoons. :p

Thundarr the Barbarian, D&D, Mighty Orbots, Bugs Bunny and the Road Runner show, Superfirends, Hong Kong Phooey, Captain Caveman, The Great Space Race, the origial Jonny Quest, The Jetson, The Flinstones, Mighty Mouse, Spiderman and his Amazing Friends, Blackstar, Speed Buggy, Fat Albert, Smurfs, Land of the Lost(ok, thechnically not a cartoon), Space Ghost, Herculoids, Pac-man, School House Rock, Snorks, Godzilla Power Hour, Silverhawks, Pole Position, there were tone more but these are the saturday Morning ones that I can remember.

I can recall losing interest in Saturday Mornings in the late 80' as many of these 'toons went off the air.

I use to get up and watch The Real Ghostbusters, Ewoks(I barely remember) Looney Toones, Hammerman, Goof Troop, Darkwing Duck, Beetle Juice, Gummi Bears, Pound Puppies and more that I can't remember.

ABC use to be the best. You could watch all the shows on TGIF go to bed, wake up the next morning and watch all the cartoons.

TGIF was cool!! Edward remembers going to Ed's friend's house and watching shows like "Sabrina", Boy Meets World, Teen Angel, and Brother's Keeper!!

Those were the days. Now Ed's hooked on Adult Swim and Saturday night on Cartoon Network with Rurouni Kenshin, Yu Yu Hakusho, and .Hack!!!!

Anyone here remember the Bugaloos? It was another of the Sid & Marty Krofy shows of the 1970's.
