Hey all, was wondering the above question. I would think there should be some reference somewhere but when the 501st become Vader's Fist Commander Appo is in charge, till he is killed in "Dark Lord: The rise of Darth Vader". Anyone help me out???

He runs away with Ahsoka just before Order 66. :p

(he's one of the "unknown fate" characters. I don't believe he's ever been mentioned outside of TCW.)

Will we ever see this happen? As Asoka is never mentioned in RotS am I to believe she is made a Knight before then?

Sources related to T-canon (like his databank entry at Starwars.com) refer to him as being the leader of the 501st. If that's true, then it would imply that he dies prior to ROTS and is superseded by Commander Appo.

However, C-canon sources say that Appo is the leader of 501st and that Captain Rex is only the leader of Torrent Company within the 501st Legion. If that's the case, then he could be off screen during ROTS, when Vader leads the attack on the Jedi Temple.

For all we know, Rex could be leading Torrent Company in the attack at the Jedi Temple.

Indeed, we have a thread about Rex already.
