What happened to plo's lightsaber?

What happened in AOTC?Why does plo koon have a blue lightsaber i thought he had a yellow one. In jedi power battles for playstation he has a yellow one and pictures i see have him with a yellow one.I think thats cooler then the blue lightsaber.

 

The Jedi Power Battles game is from the Expanded Universe. Lucas didn't have to follow what was shown in that game when he made AOTC.

 

I agree it would have been cooler. Hey if he was played by Sam Jackson he could have had any color he wanted.

 

Perhaps Plo lost his lightsaber in a battle and got a new one.

 

I think yellow wouls be cool, but it wouldn't show up very well on the sandy bits of Geonosis.

 

According to the book "Offical physics of the starwars universe" yellow sabers could not be employed in the battle of Geonosis because of timporian radiation created by the rings of the planet, which negates the energy of yellow lightsabers.

So Plo had to leave his yellow saber back at the temple and use one of his back ups.

 

lol, I'd NEVER trust a book about Star Wars physics I think they change whenever Lucas feels like it

Eh, Lucas disregarded the EU (again! but im not bitter ) so authors will write some short story or comic book tale explaining he lost the other one and had to make a new one.

I love the idea of Jedi needing certain-coloured lightsabres for certain environments.

Yeaht he PT has a been a bit more liberal and consistent with the SW physics, the OT was pretty realistic, except for twhn Han uses an asthma mask to breath in the vacuum of space while roaming inside of the space worm even as a kid I knew that made zero sense.

Wait does any1 really no if plo has nother lightsaber beside the yellow one like the blue one or is the yellow just for show.

 

I can't imagine any Jedi would have two lightsabers simultaneously, especially since AotC makes such a big deal of the importance of a Jedi's relationship with his or her lightsaber. Granted, there must have been some spare sabers lying around somewhere since Anakin and Obi-Wan got new ones in the arena, but I don't think those were sabers other Jedi had used.

 

George Lucas never intended to have Plo Koon to have a yellow lightsaber. He always used blue. In the game "Obi-Wan" for the XBOX, Plo Koon has a blue lightsaber. The game was released six months before AOTC came out.

 

I don't think anyone had an idea what color lightsabre Plo had so they just made it up. Also when it showed Sam Jackson asking Lucas if he could have a purple lightsabre Lucas says it's either blue or green thats just the way it's been, so in Plo's case I think it was made up and everyone else and Playstation just picked it up along the way. Also Adi Gallia had a red lightsabre on Jedi Power Battles and that would not happen unless she's a sith.

 

same with her E1 action figure. she had a red blade. I wonderd about that.

Plo-Koons E1 action figure lightsaber was yellow.

I think Adi's was supposed to be an off red.

 

Adi was starfighter support.
However this doesn't explain saesee's switch to green. I feel sorry for the poor guy's who have to make everything fit. In te latest insider their was a question on yareal and the kamino thing and what happened to yaddle. Jude watson is gonna answer this yaddle question. I wonder who will have to explain this.

Okay so right after Episode 1 the five councilors and aayla go to a planet are captured and lose their sabers

Another Girl: But in Emissarries Mace and Darkness Mace had blue and Aayla had blue in rite of passage

Guy 2: But Aayla's master has the same color saber......
