So, just as Obi Wan chops Vader into a little nub on Mustafar, The Emperor lands and gives Obi Wan a choice: Either become his new apprentice, or die at his hand. Consumed by rage and sorrow, with nothing else to live for, Obi Wan ends Vader's misery, then bows to Darth Sidious. Sidious smiles, and names kenobi the name of Darth Ruin. What then? What sort of a Sith would Obi Wan Kenobi have made?
They're kind of similar: both have a sense of humor and like to show off. Whereas Anakin is an argumentative rebel like Qui-Gon.
A very wise Sith Lord. In some years with his cunning he would have overthrown Palps. But considering the scenario, I think that there was infinitely more chance that Kenobi would have fight Sidious, than bow to him.
I really can't imagine any scenario where Obi-Wan would join Sidious, unless he was no longer in his right mind. It's just not part of his personality. Interesting to speculate though.
he should have left Vader than hide somewhere wait for Sidious chop off his head and than scream "playing both sides thats the **** i don't like"
Anakin was afraid of padmé dying 'cause he had a nightmare about it and turned to the darkside because of that then ended up killing her himself. Obi-Wan had to go through his whole world being turned upside down, the grief of most of his friends dying because of order 66, and he still had the strength to withstand the lure of the dark side. Most people wouldn't have even blamed him if he did turn to the darkside then but he had the strength to make the right choice and to preserve the jedi order to his dying day. It takes someone truly selfless to do that.
Obi Wan would be a very proper gentleman of a Sith, always respecting Tea-time! Darth Democratus? Darth Propus? Darth Britus? Darth Tea-Time'us?
His name would have to sound dark and destructive/sly and sneaky. He could be Darth Cunor (taken from the word 'cunning', pronounce it as cun-NOR) Darth Cunor would probably be a younger, wiser version of Darth Tyranus, using his hatred for the pain Anakin had caused, and his desire for peace to guide him. He could plot to undermine and ruin Darth Sidious to take the helm and restore peace and justice (from his view) to the galaxy.
One must have a fundamental weakness of heart and soul to become a Sith. Obi-Wan doesn't have this weakness. In the scenario posed in the OP, Obi-Wan would've died a Jedi Knight, slain upon the lava shores of Mustafar by one of the most insidious Sith Lords to ever serve the dark side of the Force.
I feel like he had so much more to live for at that point. In his mind he had just lost his best friend and the Republic as he knows it is falling apart. Kenobi was never one to give up or just end things. I'm sure he would have fought till the end.
he'd be just like he is in the TCW, every syllable would ooze with heavy sarcasm and disinterest, oh and he'd have a red lightsaber instead of a blue one.
In my opinion, Obi-Wan joining the man who just murdered all of his friends and colleagues and ultimately led him to dismember his closest friend would make as much sense as Harvey Dent joining The Joker int The Dark Knight after he killed his fiancee and disfigured him. Sorry. That has always bothered me about TDK.
In my opinion a terrible one. This is purely because he refused to kill Anakin, leaving him for dead. If he couldn't kill a friend who had contributed to the deaths of so many Jedi then he would, in my opinion, be incapable of killing innocent people- unlike Vader.
Palpatine takes over the universe and holds it for drastically longer. Obi Wan with knowledge of Anakin's children either just flat out kills Padme before she gives birth or pulls a super Sith lord move and waits until the children are born before killing both of them with Padme dying anyways because "she has lost the will to live." With no Leia to steal the Death Star plans (could potentially be done by someone else) and no Luke to blow it up (no one without the force could do it) the rebellion likely flounders and either dies out or fights on for years with no real change. At some point either more force sensitive people step up to destroy the empire or now sith Obi Wan Kenobi follows the typical path of the two sith lords and kills Palpatine becoming the emperor himself. Assuming the second scenario happens I like to think that Obi wan would be lik "nahh, just ***kin with you guys, i'm still good" and restore balance and freedom to the universe but realistically the galaxy is screwed. Also lets be honest, his sith name is Darth Brous Maximus
