What is Luke's age in ANH?

This is rather an embarrasing question to have to ask but I really have no idea! Various fanfictions I have read have placed his age at 17, 18, or 19! I think that Leia was a senator at 18, which means that Luke was probably either 18 or 19, but I really have no idea!

Please help!

 

I believe it's 18. I'm really not sure on that though. The profiles on the official site may say something. Look in EU community under characters.

 

In the novelisation of ANH Luke says he is 20 tatooine seasons old but 19 standard years.

 

Most EU sources say 18.

 

Eighteen, or twenty. Those are both accepted ages. I've seen eighteen more, though.

For what it's worth -- the definitive timeline in all recent EU publications lists Episode III as 20 years before ANH. And since that's consistent with the ANH novelizaton, I think it's pretty safe to assume the canon answer is that Luke is 20 in ANH.

 

Sources all vary from 18-20. *shrugs*
