Max Repo came after Jabba after the fat Hutt didn't pay back the loans on his palace.

Nah, I wouldn't say that. I actually don't mind it and believe it or not, loved it when I first heard it in '97. Maybe I'm just weird...*shrugs*

Yeah, the Jedi Rocks song is the part where I hit fast-forward on my DVD. I can barely watch it.

    Isn't it Max Rebo

I don't like or dislike it but i see it as unusual to place into a movie of this type but then again, that's what makes Star Wars successful. It's different ;)

Fear not! You can get both the original song and Jedi Rocks on CD!

    copy & paste this link:

    http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000003GBM/qid=1102086027/sr=1-4/ref=sr_1_4/002-7159907-0436069?v=glance&s=music

There's also a cantina one that's quite good.

Yes, apparently it's about working out (as in, working out in a gym) seems rather odd to me.

DS- that CD actually doesn't have the original song, just the soundtrack/music video "disco" version.

The film version of "Lapti Nek", to my knowledge, has never been released on any album- a true shame, as it's lightyears better than Jedi Rocks ::shudder::

Well, I should probably specify it's better than the lyrical portion of Jedi Rocks- I actually like the harmonica/blues-rock bit they play in the film first- it's the "goo nee tay!" bit that suuuuuuuuucks.

I'm playing the CD and the movie song together. They aren't significantly diffrent.

Poke around the net a bit. You can find the original out there.

Jedi Rocks is the worst thing to appear in a Star Wars movie.

Lapti Nek was bad too, but it was halfway enjoyable and at least wasn't embarrasing!
I have the original song, it was on the Return of the Jedi sountrack.

No, the worst thing to appear in a Star Wars movie was Luke screaming as he fell down the shaft in ESB.

DS- Thanks for the help. I think I'll check with my girlfriend (she has the soundtracks for all the movies). Hopefully she has it, otherwise I have to check for the original movies somewhere.

To requote myself from the last "Jedi Rocks" topic, it should be renamed, "Jedi Sucks."

    >>I'm playing the CD and the movie song together. They aren't significantly diffrent.<<

The instruments are different (there's a heavier electronic element as well to the soundtrack version) and the vocals are either a different performer or are processed differently (and, in some parts, most likely both)

The soundtrack version is still catchy, but the film version is still the best, IMO.
