We don't know! No one does... unless you're an exec at Wal-Mart who's in on it. I've heard some say that it's a playset of some sort that will be exclusive to Wal-Mart before it is available in other stores.

I don't know what it is, but I'm excited. I read
somewhere that they thought it might be a figure
stand/diorama kinda like the one Kenner had back
in the day. I wonder why Walmart is keeping their
hats on with this one? I bet we'll find out by Sunday,
    when the circulars come out.

You get there early and they'll give you the bird. Walmart employee "Wait until Midnight you weirdo!"

Seriously I want to know what it is myself.

according to Rebel scum, its a DV case as previously released for the OTC run with Anakin and a clone trooper.

    No Thanks, I'll skip that.

I was really looking forward to finding out what this was. But if the report on Rebelscum is right I think that I will skip this exclusive and try for the Vader and Yoda.

Read on another collecting site that it will
be a Clone Trooper 4 pack, with all the Clones
different colors. My guess is, if true, that
you will pay the $29.99, like back in the Kenner
days for the 'Empty box early bird' and you will
get a box W/ a figure stand of some kind in it along
with a certificate that you mail in. Then in June
or July the four Clones arrive. Just a guess here
    on my part.

BTW, it would be ROTS clones as oppsoed to the EE
    exclusives which are AOTC Clones.

I'm not 100% sure. I hope at midnight, but it may
not be until later that day when they have their "festivities".

I don't know about that 4 clonetrooper story, unless its the new Ep3 style trooper, as Entertainment Earth already has multicolor clone 4 packs.

More On The Wal-Mart Early Bird Exclusive
Posted by Curto on March 27, 2005:

First of all, RangerX writes in to let everyone know that yesterday's report and says the pallet with the Carry Cases is a different pallet than the one from the Early Bird one. So, while it's confirmed there is a new Carry Case on the way, this is not the Early Bird set.

So what is the Early Bird set? Glad you asked.

It's a reproduction of the original Early Bird Certificate from 1977, the one where fans could get the Vintage Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Chewbacca, and R2-D2 figures. The dates have been updated to 2005, although the same drawings from the originals are used again. Also included are stickers, a replica backdrop of the original kit featuring the original figures, figure stands, an honorary Hyperspace pass, and a few other small items. It also comes with its own case to protect it.

It's not yet clear if this can actually be redeemed for action figures, or if its just a nice collectible, but with the retail price under $30.00, there should be plenty available for those that want them.

If that's accurate I'll probably get it, but I
hope that it has an early bird certificate
that you can mail in for some figures. $30 seems a
bit much for a sheet of cardboard and a few lousy
stickers, even if the original is neat and rare.

    HAPPY EASTER

I can't belive how TRU with the exclusive Vader, Target with the Yoda exclusive and $1 off every figure, and Walmart with what ever there exclusive is are competing aginst one another. Are they afraid there will not be enough of us to go around at 12:01? I was just planning on going to TRU at 12:01 to get everything that I wanted and just go to Target to pick up Yoda. But now I have the $1 ever figure coupon. I plan on buying ever 3.75 figure that is out that day. If I go to Target that will save me at least $25. I would like to go to Target but they will not be open at 12:01 and I'm going out at that time. What I may do is buy half at TRU and the other half at Target. I just don't like all this running around and trying to competing aginst eveyone.

What I'm getting at there will be to many options at 12:01. I liked what we had 3 years ago and 6 years ago. TRU was the only one open. Now we have to many people sticking there fingers in the Star Wars pie.

Seems to me that all the shops know from a market point of view it is a money spinner more than any other toy so I think they take the mick with the exclusives over here in the uk we only have toys r us so only the holographic yoda will be available for us so if I want the other exclusives then I have to get it off the net and pay over the odds

So who is going to get this. Its pricey, so I think it wont be too hard to get over this weekend. I know this sounds very bad and I appogogize from the start, but what parent will buy this for their kid? I mean, Walmart isnt the most upper class of stores. I think if you want one, you will be able to get one atleast the first day. Curious if scalpers will be able to buy this all up, or is walmart placing a limit per person? I'm on the fence about buying it. I'll have to see it in person.

Yeah, I'll have to see it in perwon but I think it'll
be pretty hard for me to resist.

I think that since it will appeal mostly to collectors,
most will be bought up at midnight. I do hope they
put a limit of one per person on them. I would hate
to go Crouching Tiger on a scalper. ;)

    Nice find!
