Hey , i don't know if anybody has realize what Luke is throwing at the door's switch in the little room to kill the Rancor , most people think " thats a Rock "

But in Fact its a Skull without a Jaw .

In chapter 10 of the DVD do a Little FFW until Luke runs for the little room .

As he enter watch at is feet you'll notice the skull .

Then he " jiggle " a little on the little Barred Door , then he turns his back toward the wall , see the rancor closing at him , then he spote the door's switch , he now looks at his feet to see the skull(all we see is the top of the skull though ,for now) grabs-it , then he throws it at the door's switch , just before it hits the swicht , pause it & what do you see " the Jawless Skull ! " .

Well what do you think of this ? have you already notice that or now that you know find that kinda cool ?

Anyway, he could use the force instead of throwing it. Was he a jedi or not? I can't remember.

I've always known it was a skull. Don't remember if I knew that from watching the movie or reading the books back in 83.

As far as whether Luke needed to throw the skull or just use the force, why not just use the force to flip the switch and not use the skull at all?

Well, with the force he is able to have objects thrown, but he may not have been able to hit that control panel.

I wish it was something totally random, something you wouldn't expect to find in a Rancor's lair, like a football or an unopened can of spam.

Clone, I think Jeopardy could work as a forum game [face_thinking]

It's widely known that it is a skull.
The only think I don't know anymore is... when and where did I learn that??
I think it was when I got some sort of quiz wrong on that one. Still, don't know where exactly, or when. Hmmm....

Yeah, I didn't take the screenshot- the image from the film was used on that card made by Decipher for their Jabba's Palace expansion.

It's a great resource for finding images of background characters and elements from the films.

when I was a kid, I always thought it was a Rock. When we would play Star Wars, and I got to be Luke, i would always pick up a rock and through it at the door. My parents would always come charging out, and I would simply tell them that i was Luke, and I was using the force to hit the control panel, because in Return of the Jedi, Luke uses a rock to hit the control panel. I would always clarify that I was being smarter because I wasnt using the same as Luke used. Later on (my teens), I realized that it was actually a skull. I never told my parents though, they may still want to beat me (you should have seen the dents).
