In Tales of the Bounty Hunters, it says that IG-72 parted ways with the IG-88 quadruplets and went on his own path. So where is he now? (Besides EU LimboLand)

His first introduction as an EU character and destruction was in an WEG rpg campaign, Tatooine Manhunt.

The IG-88 short story on the other hand only refrenced that previous work.

I always assumed that IG-72 was the one that Dash Rendar destroyed on Gall. They call him IG-88 in the game but all 4 are accounted for in Tales from the Bounty Hunters. It even says that to human eyes 72 looked just like one of the 88's.

You see him in ESB when C-3P0 is in parts on the canver belt when chewie picks him up.

The IG in ESB would have to be IG-88B he was the only one to ever go to Bespin. And that's where Boba Fett killed him.

your proble right but I heard that some were and never really thought about it. But the droid in ESB seems to be IG-72 because of the color of it it is much lighter color but I have no proof and IG-88B did die in bespin so I don't know.

The one dash took out was IG-88D according to the EU iirc. Somehow survived the damage it sustained to make it to Ord Mantell.

I was going to say that the droid in ESB is IG-88B "bleached" white, but then I remembered that Boba Fett had blown IG-88B to bits with a concussion grenade. Hmm....any explanations?

But I doubt that that droid is IG-72.

TOS says that Dash took out one of the IG's, D I think. But D was supposed to have been destroyed by Boba Fett on Tatooine.

And there is even something that says the body of IG-88A was stolen and programmed to be a bodyguard or something (again, TOS).

    Many inconsistencies, there are...

"But I doubt that that droid is IG-72."

IG-72 was destroyed in Tatooine Manhunt story like I said, read the behind the scenes info in the databanks for a bit of information on that.

"TOS says that Dash took out one of the IG's, D I think. But D was supposed to have been destroyed by Boba Fett on Tatooine."

Ds destruction was greatly exaggerated. It repaired itself and limped to Ord Mantell, according to both the official website and even the new essential guide to characters, this is continuity information at this point, and not an error.

"And there is even something that says the body of IG-88A was stolen and programmed to be a bodyguard or something (again, TOS)."

This info was also covered in the New Essential Guide to Characters so it is twice, EU information.

In tales of bounty hunters IG-88A was programed into the death star like when the battle was going on he was controlling all the stuff and planed to take over all of star wars but then luke blew him up so luke killed one too.

No, it was the Death Star II he took over. Lando and Wedge blew him up.

It was the body of ig-88a that was later re-programmed.

My personal theory as to why IG-88B's body was "bleached" was either a result of the close-range cannon blasts that Fett used to kill him with, or the Ugnaughts were having some fun [face_batting]

The bleach was probably residue from ash from the blast, white ash.
