What's Ray Park doing these days?

I know he was in X-Men but that was 4 years ago. Any idea on what he's up to now?

 

He played the headless horseman in Sleepy Hollow. The headless horseman with head was Christoper Walken though. As a dedicated method-actor, Ray decapitated himself for the role. Hence the silence ...

 

Hmmm....... I didn't know that. I bet he has a really girly voice or something.

 

In 2002 he was in a very bad movie called,Ballistic:Ecks vs Sever.He played the lead thug for the main bad guy and also got a fight scene.Currently he's supposed to be staring in a movie where he plays the Marvel Superhero Iron Fist

 

he was also in the first X-men movie playing Toad.

I always thought there was something familiar about the Headless Horseman's body language.

Yeah, I heard Parks in an interview. His voice sounded completely non-threatening, just wrong for an action character. I understood why GL wanted a different person for the voice of Maul.

He may be Scottish, but he certainly doesn't have a Scottish accent. It's very Londonish.

I agree, although I feel bad for him in a way because Park was totally oblivious to the fact that his voice was going to be replaced/dubbed over. He didn't find out until he saw the movie himself. Poor guy. It must be hard to be in a movie as big as Star Wars only to find out at the last minute that your voice was changed because it wasn't "good enough".

Oh well, atleast he didn't take it personally and go off on a whole tirade like David Prowse did.

I think he is starring in Iron Fist......coming within the next year or so.

You can hear him chatting away on the TPM DVD, for the fight scene pieces. As for the voice, he's Scottish but has lived in London for so long that he has a cockney accent. And as he puts it himself, "my voice never really broke completely".

Seems a nice guy, though.

 

Ray Parks is a cool guy. I don't know if he was an actor before TPM, but he played it appropriately. Having spent some years in martial arts (by no means an expert), I have respect for his skills and discipline.

I hear the gilrs kind of like him too. With the face paint on. [face_shocked]

anyway, the man cant act, he shouldnt be given a roll were he has to open his mouth... i think thats why he has just a few lines in TPM lololol...
