What is the Confederacy heagonal emblem?

 

It's the emblem of the South Pole clothing company.

No seriously has this ever shown. I want to use in a Humor Fic/Comic.

 

The latest Databank entry with all the Confed ships mentioned they were flying with the new unified hexagonal insignia.

 

You mean something Similar to the Imperial Emblem, Just with 6 spokes?

It's the symbol on the flag held by the droid.

Now that I think about it, I wonder if it represents the six major factions: Trade Federation, Techno Union, Commerce Guild, Corporate Alliance, Banking Clan, and Geonosians. Although then the Aqualish and the Quarren would be left out, but it doesn't seem like they contributed much materiel to the war.

 

Looks like a tie fighter wing to me.

 

Lando, that was my first impression as well... a TIE wing.

 

Sure beats their original symbol.

Two folks already beat me to the TIE thing. Perhaps Palpatine had some say on what the TIE's would look like and was basically telling folks he was running both sides of the Clone Wars and few, if any, actually noticed it. Or perhaps some Seperatist actually went to work for SFS and the TIE's solar panel appearance was their way of sticking it to Palpatine.

 

Just a coincidence, I'd say. An upside down star is a pentagram, and no one suggests that the United States secretly supports satanists.

 

In addition to Gladiuus's pic, I just found a beautiful one on one of the ships.

Edit: Wanted to show the pic, but after I posted it I decided to remove it incase it gets viewed as EpIII spoiler material, though anyone can see it on the OS.

 

According to ROTS ICS, the hexagonal symbol belongs to the CIS combined volunteer force.

 

Looks Imperial, an image you'd think the Empire would distance itself from.

I don't get it... I thought that was the Republic symbol? Ie: that symbol was on the Jedi Starfighters, Republic Gunships, etc...

 

The tattered red flag has the Republic sigil, the blue flag on the right is the CIS emblem.

I wonder why they are so similar in design?

 

multi-pointed asterisk snowflake thingys were apparently very in that year.

 

For a real life example, look at the American and Soviet symbols. Both stars, just one was white and one was red. Even more similer than the Republic and CIS symbols.

 

Plus look at the Flags of many Real world Nations that sprung from other Nations.

These are just some of the flags that have sprung from the Union Jack flag Family, So I don't think its that weird that the Rep, Emp, and CIS Flags are all similar.

 

Yeah. I always have found this insignia disturbingly similar to a TIE wing...

 

It does kind of resemble a TIE solar panel, but I think that that's more of a coincidence than anything.

You do have to admit though that it's virtually indenticle to the South Pole symbol.
